Overview

Juli is a character from the Street Fighter fighting game series, introduced in Street Fighter ZERO 3. Originally known as Julia, she is the lost lover of Thunder Hawk. After being abducted and mind-controlled by Shadaloo, she was made into a member of M. Bison's elite assassin unit known as the Dolls, operating as an emotionless combatant.

Appearance

Juli is a muscular woman with short brown hair and brown eyes. She wears a blue sleeveless turtleneck leotard with bare shoulders and a high-cut legline, paired with gloves, a thigh holster with a strap, and pantyhose. She features a notably mature build compared to her teammate Juni.

Personality

While under Shadaloo's brainwashing, Juli exhibits a cold, robotic demeanor, operating as an emotionless assassin strictly following orders. Compared to her frequent partner Juni, she conveys a more mature and calm composure. Upon regaining her true identity as Julia, she regains her natural emotions.

Abilities

Juli uses a combat style and acrobatic maneuvers similar to Cammy, frequently fighting in tandem with Juni. As a member of the Dolls, she executes refined assassination skills, though breaking free from her mental control risked severe physical cellular degradation.

Background

Originally Julia, who had spent time in Germany, she was kidnapped and brainwashed by Shadaloo, taking the code name Juli as a member of M. Bison's Dolls. In home console storylines, she resisted her control and was saved by Cammy, later appearing in Super Street Fighter IV devoid of memory alongside Thunder Hawk. By the era of Street Fighter 6, following Shadaloo's downfall, she was freed from her control and married Thunder Hawk.

Relationships

Juli is the partner of Thunder Hawk, whom she eventually marries after being freed from captivity. M. Bison is her former master who brainwashed her. Juni is her fellow agent within the Dolls with whom she frequently partners in combat. Cammy acts as a crucial ally who helped save her from Shadaloo's grasp.

Trivia

Her code name Juli is derived from the German word for the month of July. Early design material listed her origin as Germany due to this naming scheme, which was later adapted to indicate she resided there for studies. Certain early card game spin-offs mistakenly misidentified her relationship to Thunder Hawk as his sister.
