Overview

Alexandrina Sebastiane, commonly known as Rina, is a character from the game Zenless Zone Zero. Serving as the head maid and the most senior member of Victoria Housekeeping Co., she is a classically trained maid defined by her refined manners and gentle demeanor. In combat and operations, she acts as a support agent, utilizing an unusual floating ability to hover above the battlefield while controlling two customized miniature Bangboos to engage enemies.

Appearance

Alexandrina possesses extremely long grey hair tied back low, with front bangs falling between her red eyes. She wears a classic maid outfit featuring a black dress with juliet sleeves and a high side slit, paired with a white frilled apron, a white bowtie, and a maid headdress with ribbons. Her attire includes black partially fingerless gloves and asymmetrical legwear consisting of white pantyhose with a single white kneehigh on her right leg, finished with black high heels. The outfit is adorned with subtle spike accents, and she floats off the ground through electromagnetic control.

Personality

Raised in a wealthy family with strict traditional etiquette, Rina is unfailingly polite, soft-spoken, and poised under any circumstances. She takes great pride in her profession and acts as a reassuring figure to her colleagues. However, her true feelings are occasionally blurted out by her Bangboo companions. Her primary passion is cooking, but she is completely oblivious to the fact that her culinary creations are virtually inedible and induce extreme distress in anyone who consumes them.

Abilities

In battle, Rina commands two distinct floating mini-Bangboos—the short-blonde-haired Drusilla and the braided-brown-haired Anastella—to attack enemies with bites, electrical strikes, and spinning impact maneuvers while she provides instructions from a safe distance. Her attacks deal Electric and Physical damage and can deploy vortex electric fields. Mechanically, her abilities enhance her team's Penetration Ratio to bypass enemy defenses and extend the duration of the Shocked state on opponents. She is also capable of playing the electric guitar.

Background

Born into a wealthy but strict household, Rina spent much of her childhood isolated, confiding in a stray doll she named Drusilla. When she grew up and became an agent, she commissioned her first combat Bangboo to be modeled after that cherished plush toy. As the senior member of Victoria Housekeeping Co., she helped train her colleagues, including teaching Von Lycaon the fundamentals of hospitality. Throughout her career, she takes on high-risk proxy requests in Hollows on behalf of wealthy clients, occasionally taking personal detours to assist citizens affected by Hollow disasters.

Relationships

Within Victoria Housekeeping Co., she works closely with Von Lycaon, who secretly disposes of her lethal cooking in Hollows to protect others. She acts as a supportive mentor to Corin Wickes and Ellen Joe; notably, Ellen is the only person capable of stomaching her food. Rina is accompanied by her two custom Bangboos, the blunt Drusilla and the naive Anastella. Additionally, she shares a unique bond with Soukaku, whose unusually sturdy digestive system allows her to genuinely enjoy Rina's cooking.

Trivia

Rina's visual and thematic design is inspired by classic ghost stories and gothic tropes, explaining her hovering movement. Her tailored maid uniform incorporates insulation and electromagnetic control systems, costing 2.2 million Dennies per outfit; she owns five identical sets for operational readiness. Earlier in her career, she briefly wore a shorter maid dress for mobility, but reverted to her traditional long Victorian style after a former employer complained that the shorter outfit distracted clients during important negotiations.
