Soldier 11

Overview

Soldier 11 is a playable character in Zenless Zone Zero. Serving as a frontline attacker for the Obol Squad within the Obsidian Battalion of the New Eridu Defense Force, she is a Fire-attribute agent specializing in Strike. Having discarded her original name—Harin—and her past, she holds herself to the strict standard of a model soldier who suppresses emotion to carry out orders with absolute efficiency.

Appearance

She has short silver hair tied into a high side ponytail on the left back of her head, along with orange eyes covered by translucent, warm-toned goggles. Her attire consists of a black-and-yellow dress-style outfit paired with shiny silver arm sleeves, black gloves, and protective gear over dark tights, leaving only her shoulders and armpits exposed. On her back, she carries a black mechanical pack marked 'DANGER' alongside her primary weapon, a fire-infused machete.

Personality

Though she strives to be a cold, disciplined soldier dedicated to duty, she is deeply honorable and protective of allies. She harbors a fierce hatred for traitors, yet secretly longs for genuine camaraderie. Behind her strict military demeanor lies a quirky side: she assigns absurd chuunibyou-style codenames to acquaintances—constantly misremembering them—and is an extreme spice enthusiast who pours entire jars of chili oil into super-spicy ramen while shunning junk food.

Abilities

She fights using a fire-infused machete. Her core combat style relies on timed button presses during her standard attacks to trigger 'Fire Suppression,' transforming physical strikes into flame-enhanced slashes. Executing her EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate guarantees a sequence of mandatory Fire Suppression attacks for a limited duration or hit count, heavily boosting her Fire damage output. Through Potential Unlocks, she gains access to a fifth basic attack sequence and counterattack maneuvers.

Background

Created alongside Anby Demara as part of the 'Silver Plan,' she originally served in the Silver Army. After suffering injuries from overtraining, she was deemed defective. When Anby refused orders to eliminate her and vanished, Soldier 11 mistakenly perceived it as betrayal, instilling in her a deep-seated grudge against traitors. She later joined the Obol Squad as its final member, continuing to undertake high-risk operations for the Defense Force despite suffering from recurring memory loss caused by severe combat injuries.

Relationships

She shares a genetic origin and history with Anby Demara, her former captain in the Silver Army whom she now resents as a traitor. She coordinates with the Phaethon siblings (Wise and Belle), whom she insists on calling by outlandish codenames. Within the Defense Force, she works under Captain 'Onibi' alongside her Obol Squad comrades Trigger, Seed, and Orpheus.

Trivia

Her precise, rhythm-based basic attack mechanics led the fan community to discover that her attack timing perfectly matches a sped-up version of the children's song 'Makka Pakka,' turning the track into a popular meme known as her 'Fire Sword rhythm.' In contrast to her extreme preference for spicy food, she strongly dislikes junk food such as hamburgers.
