Divine Revolte

Overview

Divine Revolte is a demon general appearing in "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End." Operating in the Northern Plateau, he is a seasoned warrior who has destroyed numerous human settlements. Utilizing magic to bolster his physical strength and martial prowess, he confronts human opponents with a calculated and cold demeanor while exploiting their behavioral traits.

Appearance

Divine Revolte is a demon with a distinct bodily structure featuring a male torso with four arms and a long, snake-like lower half. A mask covers the upper section of his face, concealing his eyes.

Personality

Although Revolte inquires after the names of formidable opponents in the manner of a warrior, this is merely a calculated tactic to catch human fighters off guard. He views human empathy—such as protecting corpses or shielding children—as mere behavioral habits to be exploited. Cautious and ruthless, he strategically isolates his opponents and utilizes deception to achieve victory without hesitation.

Abilities

Revolte is a master of a four-sword style, wielding four magical blades known as the "Divine Magic Crushing Sword." He can manipulate the density of these blades at will, making them lighter than a feather or heavier than a giant boulder. Possessing extraordinary stamina and reaction speed, he easily overwhelmed elite knights. Even when disarmed of his swords, he can extend his limbs to execute powerful bare-handed thrusts capable of piercing durable combatants.

Background

Revolte was responsible for laying waste to multiple villages in the Northern Plateau. Prior to his final battle, he killed the former partner of the First-Class Mage Genau by exploiting a moment when the mage protected a child. He later attacked Genau's hometown, wiping out the stationed Norm Knights to draw out high-level mages. In the resulting confrontation against Genau and Stark, Revolte pushed both combatants to the brink of death before being slain by their combined finishing techniques.

Relationships

Revolte is a mortal enemy to the First-Class Mage Genau, having killed his former partner and destroyed his home village. He commanded a group of demon subordinates, which included Yun, a demon capable of shapeshifting; Hemon, who manipulates magical fog; and Zorida, a skilled combatant using whirlwind magic.

Trivia

The name "Revolte" is derived from the German word for revolt or rebellion.
