Stark is a young man with spiky red-and-black dual-tone hair and sharp orange eyes. A prominent scar covers the left side of his forehead down near his eye. He dresses in a black sleeveless collared shirt, black pants, a white waist sash, and wraps his arms in bandages. On top, he wears a red coat, long boots, and black fingerless gloves. He fastens a silver bracelet on his wrist and carries a large double-bladed battle axe strapped to his back with a belt.

Stark is notoriously cowardly and constantly plagued by self-doubt, trembling at the mere thought of confronting formidable monsters. However, beneath his timid exterior lies a deeply kind, honest, and selfless individual. He cannot ignore people in distress and quickly endears himself to townspeople wherever he travels. When innocent lives are at stake, he routinely overcomes his panic to protect others, displaying genuine heroism when it counts most.

Trained under Eisen, Stark possesses superhuman strength, agility, and martial skill as a melee warrior. His defining trait is his unbelievable physical durability, capable of surviving lethal blows, claw attacks from giant dragons, and severe puncture wounds with minimal lasting damage. His primary combat techniques include 'Lightning Strike,' a massive vertical axe slam, and 'Light Slash,' a rising upward cut. Because he lacks magical talents, he remains vulnerable to curses and deadly poisons.
Background
Born in a village of warriors in the Central Lands, Stark grew up under the shadow of his brilliant older brother Stoltz. When demons destroyed his village, Stoltz helped him escape alone. He was subsequently found and trained by Eisen, but later left after a misunderstanding led to a physical altercation between them. After settling in a small village where he accidentally warded off a Solar Dragon, he was eventually recruited by Frieren and Fern to defeat the beast.
Relationships
Stark was trained by the dwarven warrior Eisen, who honed his talents despite their awkward parting. His older brother, Stoltz, was his sole supporter in childhood who sacrificed himself to let Stark flee their destroyed home. Within the new party, he serves as the physical shield for the mage Frieren, while maintaining a close, bickering, and softly romantic bond with the young mage Fern.

His name, Stark, is derived from the German word meaning 'strong.' He has a notable sweet tooth, with a particular fondness for giant berry ice cream sundaes. His dedicated nightly practice of swinging his axe was so intense that he inadvertently carved a massive, smooth fissure into a cliffside.
