Sasakibe Choujirou Tadaoki is a character from BLEACH. Serving as the Lieutenant of the 1st Division in the Gotei 13, he was a deeply loyal Shinigami who trained under and supported Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni since before the founding of the organization. Although his combat capabilities were on par with a captain, he chose to remain a lieutenant to serve his master.

Sasakibe Choujirou Tadaoki is a character from BLEACH. Appearance
He has silver hair, yellow eyes, and a mustache, giving him a distinct Western appearance. Over his standard black Shinigami attire, he wears a self-made white Western-style cloak.
Personality
He is extremely quiet and reserved. Having been deeply impressed by an English gentleman he saw in the Human World, he holds a strong fondness for Western culture. He spends his days off absorbing Western traditions and enjoys cultivating black tea, whereas he dislikes traditional Japanese food. He harbors absolute respect and loyalty toward his master, Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni.
Abilities
His Zanpakuto is named Gonryomaru, which transforms into a rapier upon its Shikai release. Over 2,000 years ago, he achieved Bankai, known as Koko Gonryo Rikyu, granting him mastery over powerful lightning. He is also skilled in fencing.
Background
His allegiance to Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni predates the foundation of the Gotei 13. During the war against the Quincy a thousand years prior, he struck a decisive blow from behind that enabled their victory. Though he had mastered Bankai long ago, he chose never to reveal it publicly to remain Yamamoto's subordinate. During the invasion by the Wandenreich, his Bankai was stolen by the Sternritter Driscoll Berci, leading to his death in battle.
Relationships
He looked up to Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni as his sole master and captain, dedicating his life to supporting him. Yamamoto reciprocated this affection, treating him like a son. He once offered hair treatment advice to Zaraki Kenpachi, which backfired and caused Kenpachi to feel slighted. After his passing, his love for tea was inherited by the next lieutenant, Okikiba Genshiro.
Trivia
In the early stages of the original manga, his full name remained unstated, only being revealed through anime end credits and official character books. Additionally, the Western cloak he wears over his outfit is a custom garment crafted by himself.
