Overview

Mimiko Hasaba is a curse user appearing in Jujutsu Kaisen and its prequel series Jujutsu Kaisen 0. As a member of Suguru Geto's faction, she acts alongside her twin sister, Nanako Hasaba. Ever since being saved by Geto during her childhood, she has remained intensely loyal to him.

Appearance

Mimiko initially features short black hair cut above the shoulders and wears a black sailor outfit. By the Shibuya Incident, her look changes to long hair with a hime cut. In her youth, she wore a sleeveless one-piece dress, later transitioning to a hoodie with a knee-length skirt, white ankle socks, and leather shoes. She is consistently seen holding a pink doll resembling a teru teru bozu with a rope bound around its neck.

Personality

In contrast to her visually flashy and energetic sister Nanako, Mimiko is quiet, reserved, and soft-spoken. Despite her subdued demeanor, she holds non-sorcerers in contempt, referring to them as "monkeys," and demonstrates a cold ruthlessness when confronting enemies. Her devotion centers entirely on Suguru Geto, whom she adores deeply.

Abilities

Mimiko utilizes an innate technique centered around rope and her pink stuffed doll. By manipulating the noose tied around the doll's neck, she can remotely bind and hang her target's neck, strangling them to death. During the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, she executed multiple assistant managers by hanging them from a street arch.

Background

During her childhood, Mimiko and her sister were imprisoned in a wooden cage and abused by villagers who blamed them for cursed spirit activity, until Suguru Geto rescued them. She subsequently joined his group as a curse user and participated in the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. Following Geto's death, she sought to reclaim his body from an impostor during the Shibuya Incident by attempting to awaken Ryomen Sukuna, which ultimately led to her demise.

Relationships

Mimiko maintains an inseparable bond with her twin sister, Nanako Hasaba. She harbors absolute devotion toward Suguru Geto, who saved her life. Within the Geto faction, she shares good terms with Miguel and Larue, though her relationship with Manami Suda and Toshihisa Negi is strained due to differing motivations for following Geto.

Trivia

Her character name originates from a character in the Japanese horror film One Missed Call. Additionally, minor visual differences exist between the original manga and the animated adaptation regarding her childhood outfit and hair style.
