Overview
Takada-chan, whose full name is Nobuko Takada, is a character in the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. She is a highly popular mainstream idol in Japan, known for combining a sweet, traditional idol image with an exceptionally tall stature. Active across TV appearances and high-profile handshake events, she commands a wide audience. Within the story, jujutsu sorcerer Aoi Todo is her most devoted fan, and she frequently manifests in his vivid mental delusions as his ultimate emotional pillar.
Appearance
Standing at an unusually tall height of 180 cm for an idol, she has black twintails and golden eyes. In Aoi Todo's mental delusions, she is depicted wearing a sailor uniform consisting of a white long-sleeved shirt with a sailor collar, a red neckerchief, and a black pleated skirt, completed with black tights and loafers.
Personality
She possesses high professionalism and exceptional fan-service skills, carefully tailoring her demeanor to match each fan: energetic and hyper-focused for enthusiastic supporters like Todo, but gentle and encouraging for more reserved fans. However, off-stage during broadcast tapings, she displays a surprising, mature edge—showing a love for room-temperature sake paired with rich snacks, and reacting with visible irritation when asked about her age.
Abilities
While an ordinary non-sorcerer without combat powers, she has a signature fan-service attack technique known as the "Takatan Beam." Although not a physical battle capability, inside Aoi Todo's hyper-active mental world she serves as a tactical partner, helping him process complex battle data within 0.001 seconds and executing joint attacks as a phantom-like ally.
Background
She is a mainstream celebrity whose individual handshake events draw massive crowds. Prior to the Kyoto Sister-School Exchange Event, Aoi Todo visited Tokyo early to attend her handshake session, dragging Mai Zen'in along and turning her into a fan as well. Throughout the story's major battles, she regularly appears within Todo's internal monologues and imaginary mental scenarios, serving as an irreplaceable presence that fuels his tactical focus.
Relationships
Aoi Todo is her most fanatic fan, keeping her photo inside his prized locket alongside Yuji Itadori and imagining her as his emotional confidante and battle partner. Mai Zen'in was reluctantly brought to her handshake event by Todo, only to be completely won over by her thoughtful customer service. Yuji Itadori, despite lacking interest in idols, is well aware of her broad national fame.
Trivia
Series creator Gege Akutami based her concept on real-life tall idol Yurina Kumai. Her full name, Nobuko Takada, is believed to be derived from professional fighter Nobuhiko Takada, while her signature move "Takatan Beam" is a direct reference to Himeka Nakamoto's "Himetan Beam."
