Takuma Ino

Overview

Takuma Ino is a character from the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a 21-year-old Grade 2 jujutsu sorcerer affiliated with Tokyo Jujutsu High who also operates as a freelancer. Looking up to his senior, Kento Nanami, with deep admiration, Ino constantly strives to prove himself worthy of a Grade 1 recommendation. Friendly and supportive toward younger sorcerers like Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro, he plays a key role as a dependable ally in combat operations.

Appearance

Takuma Ino is a 21-year-old young man with brown hair and brownish-black eyes. He is typically seen wearing a knit hat (beanie) alongside a casual black long-sleeved sweater or shirt. During combat, he lowers his hat over his entire face like a mask or hood. As a weapon, he carries a blunt blade cursed tool wrapped in a spotted cloth, which was previously owned by Kento Nanami.

Personality

Ino is an upbeat, enthusiastic sorcerer defined by his strong respect for seniors, particularly Kento Nanami. He constantly seeks Nanami's approval with hopes of earning a Grade 1 recommendation and inheriting his mentor's old wristwatch. He enjoys drinking beer, dislikes acidic foods, and exhibits no noted sources of stress. Toward juniors, he acts as an encouraging and reliable upperclassman, demonstrating bravery and determination when thrown into high-stakes battles.

Abilities

Ino uses an innate seance technique called Auspicious Beasts Summon (Raiho Zuiju), which activates when he conceals his face to act as a medium. He can summon the powers of four mythical beasts: Kaichi (a homing horn attack), Reiki (cursed energy water used for defense and gliding mobility), Kirin (a stimulant that blocks pain and sustains combat readiness), and Ryu (a powerful dragon energy blast gathered in his right hand). He is also proficient in the New Shadow Style Simple Domain and fights using Nanami's blunt cursed tool.

Background

Coming from a lineage of sorcerers, Ino entered Tokyo Jujutsu High and eventually became a Grade 2 jujutsu sorcerer. He was notably the only Grade 2 sorcerer participating in the high-level defense during the Night Line of a Hundred Demons. He worked alongside Kento Nanami in various missions, including dealing with altered humans. During the Shibuya Incident, he teamed up with Megumi Fushiguro and Yuji Itadori before sustaining severe injuries. He later returned during the Shinjuku Showdown, wielding Nanami's blade against Sukuna and surviving the conflict.

Relationships

Ino holds immense respect for his senior, Kento Nanami, striving to follow in his footsteps and live up to his expectations. He acts as a caring and supportive upperclassman to Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro, joining forces with them in major operations. Conversely, he faced fierce opposition from Granny Ogami and her adopted grandson during the Shibuya Incident.
