Appearance
Chiyari has long, wavy purple hair extending down her back, red eyes, pointed ears, a single purple-red horn on her head, and a long purple-red tail. She wears a baggy light-green short-sleeved t-shirt patterned with ATGC base sequences along the trim and text reading "Welcome to Hell," "I ❤️ (OLD) HELL," or "やっぱ旧だよね!". Her bottom consists of patterned teal shorts adorned with syringes and test tubes containing red liquid. She goes barefoot, has a thin, slouching build, and is surrounded by purple-red fireballs.
Personality
Chiyari has a lethargic, downer attitude and a strong inclination toward being a shut-in, yet she maintains a surprisingly easygoing and positive outlook. She loves the peaceful solitude of the Former Hell of Blood Pools and avoided leaving it for a long time. Despite her indolent nature, she is surprisingly sociable and eventually comes to accept being called a chupacabra with relaxed indifference. Although indifferent to territorial warfare on the surface, she is driven by a deep craving for cursed blood filled with intense malice.
Abilities
Chiyari possesses the ability to manipulate blood and fire. In combat, she generates homing spirit orbs that stalk targets and can expand those flames to deny space. She also utilizes syringes and test tubes attached to her waist to drain and collect blood directly from living creatures.
Background
Originating as an obscure, cursed youkai, human folklore frequently associated her true form with a giant mujina or the cryptid chupacabra. Unsatisfied with ordinary blood, she sought out concentrated curses, eventually settling in the Former Hell of Blood Pools. Upon learning about Toutetsu Yuuma from her acquaintance Nippaku Zanmu, she hit it off with Yuuma and joined the Gouyoku Alliance, serving covertly as Zanmu's informant while seeking even stronger malice to satisfy her desires.
Relationships
She hits it off with Toutetsu Yuuma and acts as her subordinate in the Gouyoku Alliance, but her true loyalty lies with Nippaku Zanmu, for whom she acts as a spy while holding complex feelings regarding Zanmu's abandonment of Former Hell. She is acquainted with Kaenbyou Rin as a fellow underworld resident, and Futatsuiwa Mamizou is responsible for spreading the rumor that Chiyari is a chupacabra.
Trivia
Her species name, Tenkajin, originates from Japanese folklore in Gunma Prefecture regarding a mysterious flying fireball youkai. The unusual English and Japanese text printed across her t-shirt mirrors the distinctive fashion style of Hecatia Lapislazuli, and within the lore, it is referenced as a popular clothing brand in Hell.
