Overview
Camellya is a playable Havoc-attribute Resonator in Wuthering Waves who wields a sword. Affiliated with the Black Shores as a Bloom Bearer, she travels the world of Solaris-3 in search of promising individuals to cultivate. Free-spirited yet carrying a dangerous aura, she strongly believes in a predetermined connection of fate. She holds a deep, persistent interest in the Rover, treating them as a uniquely special presence throughout her journeys.
Appearance
Camellya wears a ballet-inspired white dress adorned with black and red accents, featuring petal-like skirt edges with burnt-pattern motifs. Her Tacet Mark, surrounded by four petals, is situated on her upper chest. Her legwear is asymmetrical, with one leg fully covered by a stocking while the other is bare in open-toed footwear. Her long hair is primarily white with black streaked highlights and vibrant red blooming at the tips. Her ensemble includes various accessories such as hair ornaments, earrings, a bracelet, and rings.
Personality
Camellya is driven by her desires and lives entirely in the present. She carries a relaxed yet hazardous charm, constantly seeking excitement and strong opponents to overwhelm in battle. Despite her easygoing demeanor, she holds a strict focus on strength, quickly losing interest in boredom, cowardly tricks, or those who fail to impress her. She dislikes cold weather and alcoholic flavors, preferring fresh fruit juices and napping in warm sunlight. Deeply attached to the Rover, she displays a more delicate side through personal habits like humming familiar tunes and crafting wooden sculptures.
Abilities
Camellya commands the Resonance Ability Crimson Blossom, allowing her to manifest and control flexible, predatory red vines from her body. These vines adapt continuously to strike targets and break down chaotic surrounding frequencies. In combat, she utilizes swift sword attacks and can enter a Blossom State by wrapping herself in vines. This state alters her normal attacks into specialized vine dances and aerial maneuvers. Through her Resonance Circuit, she can enter a Budding State and unleash powerful techniques such as Ephemeral Flower to deal concentrated Havoc damage.
Background
Camellya has lived for centuries, once serving the Black Shores under the title of Bloom Girl while traveling beside the Rover. Due to severe Overclocking, she entered a continuous cycle of suffering total memory loss, living under different identities, and regaining her memories just before they were sealed away again to protect her mind. After sacrificing herself to defend a village from Tacet Discords, she slept for decades before awakening and rejoining the Black Shores as Camellya. Despite facing ongoing physical plantification and incurable Overclocking symptoms, she chooses to live freely and forge her own path alongside the Rover.
Relationships
Camellya holds an unconditional, intense fixation on the Rover, seeing them as her destined companion above all others. Within the Black Shores, she respects the Shorekeeper's earnest nature despite their contrasting styles, and views Aalto's clever tactics as lacking true strength. She hopes to play with Ankee in the future and receives caring concern regarding her health from Ames. Meanwhile, she finds Jinhsi's self-sacrificing mindset difficult to comprehend.
Trivia
Her name and visual motifs are derived from the Camellia flower genus (specifically Camellia japonica). While real-world camellia petals typically feature rounded edges, her in-game botanical designs use sharply pointed petal tips. As a personal hobby using her plant-manipulating abilities, she carves small wooden figures of the Rover out of grown roots, keeping them as cherished possessions.
