Chisa

Overview

Chisa is a student from Ashihara studying at Startorch Academy's Department of Tactical Development in Wuthering Waves. Fighting as a Havoc Broadblade user, she possesses an exceptionally analytical and calm mind, treating most challenges as structural problems to be resolved logically. Despite being forced to wear a suppressing device to prevent Overclocking due to past events, she deeply values emotional ties and human connection. Following the resolution of a crisis in the Honami Sonora, she also takes up managing the Train Cafe alongside a talking capybara named Namipon.

Appearance

Chisa has waist-length black hair with straight-cut bangs, featuring a single right strand tied with a red cord. She has red eyes with a beauty mark below her right eye and cosmetic eye shadow. A black collar-like monitor is fitted around her neck, and her Tacet Mark resides on her right arm. Her attire consists of a dark blue retro school uniform with a red tie and a relaxed long-sleeved jacket. She wears a mini skirt, a garter ring on her right leg, black knee-high socks, and short boots. A card holder containing her student ID hangs from her waist belt.

Personality

Chisa is highly logical and composed, maintaining an academic distinction through her meticulous and methodical mindset. Though she approaches tasks by analyzing their structure and numbers, she deeply treasures personal connections. Due to a past psychological condition that impairs her ability to recognize faces, she carefully observes distinct clothing items and accessories to remember individuals. She possesses a keen curiosity for classic mystery novels and puzzles, enjoys sewing, and naturally attracts cats. She also enjoys chocolate sticks and struggles with overly spicy foods.

Abilities

Through her Resonance Ability 'Eye of Unstringing', Chisa observes the structural flaws of all things as threads, cutting them to inflict targeted damage. In combat, she wields a scissor-themed Broadblade capable of transforming into a chainsaw mode that gathers nearby foes and slashes them. She inflicts unique debuffs that reduce enemy defense and provides defensive shields or party-wide healing during specific actions and Resonance Liberations. Additionally, she can manipulate spatial boundaries to construct isolated safe houses.

Background

Born in Ashihara, Chisa awakened her powerful Resonance Ability while protecting a classmate, which led to social isolation and her placement under official monitoring with a restraint collar. She was later invited to Startorch Academy, where her talents were recognized. However, she became trapped in a temporal anomaly within the Honami Sonora. Working alongside the Rover and utilizing research left behind by Sumika, she untangled the laws governing the loop and escaped. Following medical care with the Black Shores, she successfully resumed her studies at Startorch Academy.

Relationships

Chisa holds deep trust and affection for the Rover, who helped her escape the temporal loop and overcome her isolation. The researcher Sumika was her cherished comrade in arms whose legacy helped save her. She runs the Train Cafe together with Namipon the capybara. During her recovery with the Black Shores, she was cared for by Shorekeeper and formed an acquaintance with Baizhi. At Startorch Academy, she maintains warm relations with her friend Linne and Professor Mornier, while Hiyuki looks out for her from afar.

Trivia

Chisa treasures personal mementos from her mother, including an antique pair of scissors, a red hair cord, and a protective charm. Outside of battle, she uses her scissors for everyday tasks like opening packages or trimming bonsai trees. Student rumors at Startorch Academy mention an engineering student transporting a piano modified to double as a meat grill near the dorms.
