Overview

Roccia is a playable Havoc-attribute Gauntlet user in Wuthering Waves. Hailing from Rinascita, she serves as the vice-captain, all-around prop master, and improv comedian for the Troupe of Fools. Originally a resident of Ragunna who was exiled by the Order, she now manages the daily logistics and prop production for the troupe with meticulous care. While she shines as a talented performer on stage, off-stage she lives a quiet life alongside her Echo companion, Pelo, residing inside a magical suitcase.

Appearance

Roccia features long, vibrant blue and pink two-tone hair bound into high twintails. She possesses heterochromatic eyes with star patterns, her right eye being yellow and her left eye pink or red. Her attire consists of a dark blue, black, and white long-sleeved dress-like outfit accented by a white frilled collar and a gold keyhole brooch. She sports a mask-themed hairpiece with a harlequin-patterned fan decoration, a ring, a leg band, and short boots. Her Tacet Mark is on her right thigh, and she carries an ornately decorated pink suitcase.

Personality

On stage, Roccia captivates audiences as a brilliant improvisational actor, but off stage, she is an introverted recluse who prefers staying inside her magic suitcase with Pelo. She harbors an intense fear of the dark, often frantically eating candy when terrified. Despite her theatrical talents, she suffers from severe nervousness when forced to sing in public, causing her pitch to falter. Nevertheless, Roccia is extremely dependable and caring, handling troupe administrative work flawlessly and quietly going out of her way to retrieve and repair cherished lost items for her companions.

Abilities

Roccia uses her Forte ability, Stage in a Box, to communicate with her Echo companion Pelo, who can absorb materials and convert them into acoustics within her expansive suitcase. In combat, Roccia swings her suitcase to deal Havoc DMG alongside Pelo. By accumulating Imagination through basic attacks or her Resonance Skill, she enters the mid-air Leap of Fantasy state, executing heavy attack combos such as Fantasy into Reality. Her Resonance Liberation deals Havoc DMG while granting an attack power buff to her teammates based on her Critical Rate, and her Outro Skill amplifies Havoc and Basic Attack DMG for the next character.

Background

Formerly a resident of Ragunna, Roccia was banished by the Order of the Deep after singing an unauthorized theatrical play. After surviving a shipwreck, she washed ashore on Penitent's End in despair, where she was rescued by Brant and the Troupe of Fools. A mysterious suitcase Echo named Pelo reached out to her with hand-crafted props and tickets, inspiring her to rebuild her world through theater. Joining the troupe, Roccia became its vice-captain and prop master, turning their haven into a welcoming home for fellow outcasts. When Rover arrived in Rinascita, Roccia assisted in countering the Order's schemes during the festival.

Relationships

Roccia shares a family-like bond with Pelo, an Echo living in her magic suitcase who acts as her fighting partner and companion. She harbors immense trust in Brant, the leader of the Troupe of Fools who rescued her when she was first exiled. She relies on Tina, the troupe's skilled helmsman who guided her through her vice-captain navigation test. Roccia frequently cares for troupe members, such as repairing the lost harpoon of the fisherman Batir and crafting a comforting return ticket for Little Luca. She also welcomes and fights alongside Rover during their journey in Rinascita.

Trivia

In Asian releases, her name Rococo references Rococo art, known for its ornate colors. In English, her name Roccia means rock in Italian, referencing rocaille (French for rockwork/shellwork), the etymological root of Rococo. Additionally, her combat dialogue includes the term Yes, and, which represents the foundational rule of improvisational theater.
