Overview
A Havoc-attribute sword Resonator from Jinzhou in Huanglong, featured in Wuthering Waves. Operating as a wandering ranger, Danjin travels the world to seek the true nature of good and evil while purging criminality. Armed with a sword and her unique blood-manipulation abilities, she fights relentlessly against wickedness while treasuring the mementos left by her family.
Appearance
Styled with short red hair in a chignon bun, she features bangs between her eyes, an ahoge, and distinctive hairpins. Her eyes are naturally colored to match her hair but shift to red when using her powers. Possessing a slender, petite build, she wears traditional crimson attire tailored for mobility, accessorized with asymmetric fingerless gloves, ribbons on her arms, tassels, a leg ring, and short boots. A concentric jade pendant hangs at her chest, and her Tacet Mark is located on her left upper arm.
Personality
Danjin is polite, sincere, and courteous, treating innocent people and children with gentleness. She exhibits a youthful, cheerful side when indulging in her favorite Dragon's Beard Candy. However, she harbors an unyielding hatred for wickedness and deals with criminals without mercy. She even deliberately poses as a defenseless girl to bait out malintent before punishing wrongdoers. Despite her extreme fervor in battle, she retains a delicate worry over whether her violent fighting style might intimidate others.
Abilities
Fighting as a Havoc-attribute sword wielder, Danjin possesses the hemokinetic ability to shape her own blood into crimson blades. Her Resonance Skill consumes a small portion of her own HP to execute rapid continuous attacks and inflict a debuff that amplifies damage dealt to targets. By spending energy generated from her skills, her Heavy Attacks unleash devastating Havoc damage while restoring her own health. While her powers afford exceptionally high instantaneous destructive force, her volatile frequency fluctuations carry a low stability threshold and a risk of overclocking.
Background
Danjin once lived peacefully with her parents and younger sister. Her life changed drastically when bandits feigning distress tricked her sister into opening their home's door, leading to her family's massacre. Overwhelmed by emotion during the tragedy, she awakened her blood-manipulating resonance powers. As an adult, she travels dangerous territories, using herself as bait to root out criminal networks such as child traffickers. She continues her journey to cut down evil at its source while contemplating the true meaning of righteousness.
Relationships
Danjin views Rover as a guiding light who anchors her spirit during her dark journey. She turns to Mortefi to repair her damaged blades, repaying him by repelling thieves who target his smithy. She trusts Chixia's approachable nature with lost children, finds reassurance in Yinlin's electric battles, and respects Yangyang's inner strength. Additionally, she forms warm ties with Jinzhou locals, such as secretly providing medicinal herbs to a sweet-shop owner to help heal the woman's sick younger sister.
Trivia
During early game testing, her name was written with the character for hibiscus, referencing short-lived beauty, before being finalized as Danjin to emphasize red fine jade and virtue. Her favorite food is Dragon's Beard Candy, whereas she dislikes Star Nuggets due to how easily they spoil outdoors. In terms of gameplay synergy, the signature weapon of Changli, Blazing Brilliance, is widely recognized for perfectly matching both Danjin's crimson aesthetic and her rapid skill usage.
