Overview

Leviathan is a Calamity-class Threnodian in Wuthering Waves that embodies the authority of Fusion within the civilization of Rinascita. Originating as a god-like entity, its escaped frequency was resurrected through a gem, allowing it to construct a new physical form based on the former saint Fleurdelys. Born from a yearning for connection and sustained by universal dread, it acts as an abyssal existence seeking the destruction of the realm.

Appearance

In addition to a massive sea creature shape, Leviathan manifests in a humanoid form modelled after Fleurdelys. In this state, it features long pale gray or white hair, shoulder-baring black attire, extremely pale skin, aquatic head fins, and a dark sludge-like substance entirely concealing its eyes.

Personality

Leviathan possesses an ominous, silent godhood reminiscent of an absolute abyss. Cold and detached, it views all living beings as targets for final judgment regardless of their faith. Its demeanor is driven by a constant desire for fusion and absolute order through total destruction, contemplating all existence with indifferent malice.

Abilities

Wielding the power over Fusion, Leviathan can corrupt high-level entities such as the Sentinel Imperator. It is capable of creating and inhabiting multiple vessels—including Fleurdelys, Mya, and Lupa—to execute its apocalyptic will across the domain.

Background

After its frequency broke free from the Sentinel's restraint and was revived by a mysterious gem, Leviathan sought the total ruin of Rinascita. It corrupted the Sentinel Imperator and engineered various host vessels—namely Mya, Lupa, and Fleurdelys, alongside an unsuccessful attempt to claim Cantarella—using these avatars to herald the end of the region.

Relationships

Leviathan corrupted Imperator, the Sentinel of Rinascita, establishing a hostile mastery over it. It created and utilized Fleurdelys, Mya, and Lupa as physical vessels for its power, and mounted a failed takeover against Cantarella. It also maintains a direct connection to Cartethyia.

Trivia

The character draws inspiration from the biblical sea monster Leviathan, represented in artwork both as an oceanic creature and as a corrupted, dark-clad saintly figure.
