Overview
Lumi is a character from Wuthering Waves. Hailing from Yuezhou in Huanglong, she serves as a dedicated navigator and transport squad leader for Lollo Logistics. Known for her earnest work ethic and uplifting presence, she is fondly regarded by those around her as a cheerful "little sun" who connects people across vast distances.
Appearance
Lumi features brown hair styled into dual topknots with small braids resting on her shoulders, decorated with her company employee badge. She has pink eyes, short rounded eyebrows, animal ears, and a long tail extending from her back that ends in a glowing lightbulb. Her clothing consists of a hooded jacket paired with a leather-accented bodysuit, fingerless gloves, and stockings that form an absolute territory gap. She wears nail polish, and her Tacet Mark is located on her right thigh.
Personality
Exceptionally bright and energetic, Lumi combines boundlessly curious exploration habits with a fierce sense of responsibility. She enjoys embarking on adventures and logging noteworthy sights in her journal. While warmly supportive of her subordinates and always ready to cheer others up, she secretly worries about becoming isolated or burdening her peers.
Abilities
As a congenital Resonator, Lumi emits light that can be converted into Electro energy to power devices, possessing high spectral stability with minimal overclocking risk. In combat, she wields a broadblade alongside her craft companion Jiu Jiu, switching between a ranged "Yellow Light" mode and a melee "Red Light" mode via her Resonance Skill. Executing forward dashes or evasive backsteps cycles her combat stances, while accumulating light energy empowers her strikes. Her Resonance Liberation scales up Jiu Jiu into a massive projectile that deals Electro damage, and her Outro Skill boosts the Resonance Skill damage of the next switched-in ally.
Background
Born in Changzhuang, a remote village in Yuezhou cut off from the outside world due to the Lament, Lumi grew up in harmony with nature while displaying a natural ability to glow. Her growing desire to see the world led her to search for outgoing paths, though early attempts with childhood friends met with failure. Eventually venturing out alone, she collapsed in the wilderness and was saved by a Lollo Logistics squad led by Chengxiao. Inspired by their work, she joined the company, adapted to urban environments, and matured into a reliable navigator. Following Chengxiao's retirement, Lumi assumed leadership of her own squad. During the Somnium Labyrinth event, she overcame a nightmare loop born from her fear of alienation with the help of the Rover.
Relationships
Chengxiao is Lumi's savior and mentor who guided her transition into Lollo Logistics. The Rover earned Lumi's deep gratitude by resolving shipping troubles and assisting her through her ordeal in the Somnium Labyrinth. Her handmade plushie Jiu Jiu serves as her constant battle and work partner, while recruits Tangtang and Fulei rely on her leadership. Additionally, Lumi regularly delivers items to clients across Huanglong, including Jianxin, Chixia, Youhu, Baizhi, and Zhezhi.
Trivia
Lumi's English moniker is derived from the Latin word "luminar," signifying a light source or lantern. Her favorite dish is rice noodles seasoned with chili, vinegar, and scallions, whereas she harbors a strong dislike for wide glass noodles after experiencing an unpalatably bitter batch during a delivery. Her handmade Jiu Jiu hamster plushies have gained such popularity that fans occasionally visit her dorm room to admire them. In her spare time, she loves writing illustrated travel logs in her thick notebook and taking motorcycle rides.
