Iuno

Overview

Iuno is a playable character featured in Wuthering Waves, hailing from Rinascita's Septimont region. As a gifted Priestess serving at the Tetragon Temple, she possesses the rare divine capability to perceive absolute futures through the movement of moonlight. Fighting as an Aero-attribute resonator, she wields gauntlets as her primary equipment type. Driven by a fierce resentment toward immutable fate, she stands resolutely against predetermined outcomes.

Appearance

Iuno features dark blue long hair tied into high twin tails, with a white crescent-shaped streak in her front hair, a golden laurel-like headpiece on top, and feather-shaped ornaments on both sides. She has bright, clear blue eyes, and her Tacet Mark is located on the top of her left foot. Her attire includes a white halter-neck top with gold accents and a circular moon-phase ornament on the chest. She wears a thin blue gradient drape around her waist, white ribbon-like wraps running crisscross from below the knees to her ankles, a thigh bangle on her right leg, a gold anklet on her left ankle, and ancient-style sandals.

Personality

Strong-willed and uncompromising, Iuno openly acknowledges her own stubborn streak and refuses to yield to standard expectations or gloomy predictions. Ever since a pivotal moment in her past, she has sworn never to look away from harsh realities. Alongside her sharp, rebellious exterior, she exhibits a whimsical side—enjoying lighthearted games atop roofs and rolling dice to decide her daily travels. Privately, she masks a vulnerable side by retreating into mountains of blankets in her room, while displaying a intensely devoted attachment toward the Rover.

Abilities

In combat, Iuno utilizes gauntlets and a massive chakram that reconfigures into a specialized bow, allowing her to rain down light arrows. Her resonance ability mirrors the cycles of the moon, granting her the power to act as an anchor by pinning down creatures born of the Black Shores with physical light shafts. She possesses a unique aerial movement technique called Moon Stroll to glide through the air, while her Full Moon Realm provides continuous party healing, stamina recovery, and substantial damage amplifications focused on Heavy Attacks.

Background

Born with the gifts of a Priestess, Iuno grew to resent the concept of unavoidable fate after failing to act during a tragic vision in her youth. Years prior to the main story, she successfully altered a fatal premonition to save a life, causing her divine foresight to mutate into an anchoring power that threatens to erase her physical existence and memory from the world. During the battle against the False God King, she used her powers to shatter the enemy's barrier and faded from global memory, but was rescued from the domain of chaos by the Rover.

Relationships

Iuno shares a deep bond of mutual trust with her best friend Augusta, alongside a strong affection for her mentor Lilibel. She holds a unique and intense connection with the Rover—referring to them as a clean slate unburdened by fate. Because the Rover remains unaffected by memory erasure and saved her from cosmic isolation, she treats the Rover with exceptional devotion and a secret sense of shared trust.

Trivia

Her name Iuno directly originates from Juno, the supreme queen of gods in Roman mythology associated with fate, light, and the moon. In her diet, she prefers fresh seasonal fruits while disliking overly greasy meats and overcooked vegetables. To combat the tragic side effect of her ability fading her away from human memory, she habitually takes photographs as physical proof of her living presence.
