Overview

A, the Fourth Raikage, is the supreme leader of Kumogakure in the Naruto series. As the son of the Third Raikage and the adoptive older brother of Killer Bee, he rules his village with absolute authority and intense devotion to his people. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, his overwhelming power and decisive leadership led to his appointment as the Supreme Commander of the Allied Shinobi Forces.

Appearance

He is a massively muscular, dark-skinned man with blonde hair and a goatee. He wears a white Raikage haori over his bare torso, paired with heavy gold vambraces on his forearms and a massive wrestling-style championship belt around his waist. Following his battle against Sasuke Uchiha during the Five Kage Summit, his left arm was amputated below the elbow, leaving him with one arm.

Personality

He is intensely hot-blooded and short-tempered, often smashing through walls and windows instead of using doors. He prioritizes the safety and strength of his village above all else, displaying protective affection for his comrades and Killer Bee while maintaining a stern, autocratic stance toward rival nations. Despite his explosive demeanor, he possesses a sharp tactical mind capable of making calm, humble judgments even in high-speed combat.

Abilities

He excels in taijutsu and is a master of Nintaijutsu, physically powered by daily rigorous training. By activating his signature Lightning Release Chakra Mode, he coats his body in dense lightning chakra, granting him ironclad defense, massive chakra reserves, and top-tier movement speed and reflexes. His arsenal includes pro-wrestling-inspired attacks such as the Liger Bomb, Iron Claw, Drop Elbow, and Guillotine Drop, as well as the devastating Double Lariat performed in sync with Killer Bee.

Background

Born as the son of the Third Raikage, he inherited the title of A and selected Killer Bee as his adoptive brother and combat partner. Throughout his career, he pursued aggressive policies to bolster Kumogakure's military power, including past attempts to acquire the Byakugan. After learning of Killer Bee's targeted capture, he convened the Five Kage Summit, lost his left forearm in a clash with Sasuke Uchiha, and was ultimately named Supreme Commander of the Allied Shinobi Forces. After the war, he stepped down and passed the Raikage title to Darui.

Relationships

He shares a bond stronger than blood with his adoptive brother Killer Bee. He highly respected his father, the Third Raikage, and placed absolute trust in his right-hand man Darui, who eventually succeeded him as Raikage. Fukai (Blue B) was his cousin. He initially harbored deep hostility toward Sasuke Uchiha and rejected Uzumaki Naruto's pleas for mercy, though he later grew to acknowledge Naruto's resolve. In his youth, he also tested his speed against Minato Namikaze.

Trivia

His signature Lightning Release Chakra Mode was created using repurposed concept art originally intended for Kakashi's Chidori. His physical attire, including his massive championship belt, and his move names pay heavy homage to professional wrestling and figures like Jushin Thunder Liger.
