He relies primarily on powerful kicking techniques and weapon proficiency. By removing his heavy leg weights, his movement speed increases dramatically. He can open the inner physical limiters known as the Eight Gates, enabling formidable forbidden techniques like the Front Lotus and Reverse Lotus. In addition, consuming alcohol unlocks an unpredictable Drunken Fist fighting style.
Background
Struggling in his academy days due to lack of talent in ninjutsu and poor motor skills, Lee found his path under the mentorship of Might Guy. Joining Team Guy, he established a rivalry with his prodigy classmate Hyuga Neji. During the Chunin Exams, he sustained severe injuries fighting Gaara that nearly ended his career, but he successfully recovered after undergoing surgery performed by Tsunade. He later served honorably in the Fourth Great Ninja War, eventually rising to the rank of Jonin and raising his son, Metal Lee.
Relationships
Lee deeply admires his mentor Might Guy, modeling his attire and lifestyle after him. He views his talented teammate Hyuga Neji as a rival to overcome and shares a tight bond with his team partner Tenten. Although initially rejected after confessing his feelings to Haruno Sakura, he later earned her genuine respect. He maintains strong friendships with Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and his former adversary Gaara. He is also the father of Metal Lee, with whom he trains continuously.
