Gamakichi

Overview

Gamakichi is a summoning toad from Mount Myouboku featured in NARUTO. As the eldest son of Gamabunta and the older brother of Gamatatsu, he shares a deep bond with Naruto Uzumaki. First summoned as a tiny toad, he grows rapidly over time to match his father's massive size. Fiery and dutiful, he acts as a dependable ally to Naruto throughout major battles.

Appearance

Gamakichi is a giant toad with bright orange skin, blue or purple facial markings, and black eyes featuring rectangular pupils against yellow sclera. He wears a blue happi coat over sarashi wrapped around his torso and carries a massive short sword. Accessories include a necklace with a large orb around his neck, and he is often seen with a paper cigarette in his mouth. He can also temporarily shrink his body to a tiny size.

Personality

Gamakichi possesses a rough, hot-tempered personality reminiscent of a yakuza, speaking with a distinct dialect. Despite his abrasive attitude, he has a strong sense of justice and remains fiercely loyal to those who help him. He is a passionate food lover who used to demand snacks in exchange for assistance. Beneath his coarse exterior, he exhibits a caring nature and offers insightful advice during training.

Abilities

Gamakichi combines exceptional jumping ability with proficient swordsmanship using his giant short sword. Possessing powerful senjutsu chakra, he utilizes the Water Release technique known as Mizuame Teppou, which expels a thick, sticky liquid to damage and immobilize opponents. This senjutsu attack can bypass standard defenses like the Truth-Seeker Balls. Additionally, he can perform the Reverse Summoning Technique to transport contract holders directly to Mount Myouboku.

Background

Gamakichi was first summoned by Naruto Uzumaki during the Konoha Crush arc, appearing as a palm-sized toad due to insufficient chakra. He persuaded his father, Gamabunta, to help Naruto defeat Shukaku. During Pain's attack on Konoha, he arrived significantly larger to protect and evacuate Tsunade. By the Fourth Shinobi World War, he reached full size, forming the new Three-Way Deadlock alongside the summons of Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno to strike against the Ten-Tails.

Relationships

He is the son of Gamabunta, the older brother of Gamatatsu, and the nephew of Gamaken and Gamahiro. He respects the elder toads of Mount Myouboku, including the Great Toad Sage, Fukasaku, and Shima. Bound by a summon contract with Naruto Uzumaki, he shares a deep bond of mutual respect with him. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, he fought alongside Aoda, summoned by Sasuke Uchiha, and Katsuyu, summoned by Sakura Haruno.

Trivia

Unlike his father Gamabunta who smokes a traditional pipe, Gamakichi prefers smoking paper cigarettes. Thanks to his ability to alter his physical scale, he can temporarily shrink back down to his childhood size when visiting human hot springs to avoid disrupting other patrons.
