Overview
Mabui is a kunoichi from Kumogakure in the Naruto series. Serving as the personal secretary to the Fourth Raikage, A, she fulfills vital administrative and tactical duties, including attending strategic assemblies and accompanying the leader to Allied Shinobi Forces summits.
Appearance
Mabui is a dark-skinned woman with striking blue eyes. She wears her silver hair tied neatly in a bun at the back of her head.
Personality
Mabui possesses a professional, composed, and highly efficient personality. As a dedicated secretary, she remains calm and collected even during high-stakes military councils, handling administrative duties with steadfast focus.
Abilities
Mabui is a skilled practitioner of the Heavenly Transfer Technique, which allows her to instantly teleport matter to any targeted location at the speed of light. Because the extreme speed renders the technique deadly to normal human bodies, it is primarily meant for inanimate objects. However, individuals with exceptionally durable bodies—such as the Third and Fourth Raikages—or those able to continuously regenerate, like Tsunade, can survive the process. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, she used this ability to send the Amber Purifying Pot to Darui and later dispatched the Fourth Raikage and Tsunade directly to the front lines.
Background
Mabui's rare proficiency with the Heavenly Transfer Technique led directly to her appointment as the secretary to the Fourth Raikage. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, she was stationed at the Allied Shinobi Forces Headquarters to manage logistics and communications. Her spatial transport skill proved critical in sealing Kinkaku and delivering key leaders to combat Madara Uchiha.
Relationships
Mabui serves directly under the Fourth Raikage, A, acting as his trusted right-hand administrator. She also collaborates closely with front-line commanders like Darui and high-ranking figures from allied villages, including the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade.
Trivia
Her name is derived from the Ryukyuan word for 'soul' or 'spirit' (mabui), as well as a colloquial Japanese term meaning 'dazzling' or 'radiant'.
