Cabba

Overview

Cabba is a pure-blooded Saiyan hailing from Planet Sadala in Universe 6, featured in Dragon Ball Super. Serving as an elite warrior of the Sadala Defense Force, he actively fights against villains to maintain tranquility across his universe. Unlike the historically aggressive Saiyans of Universe 7 like Son Goku and Vegeta, Cabba possesses a polite demeanor and a strong sense of justice. He represents Universe 6 in major cosmic competitions, including the God of Destruction Champa Tournament and the Tournament of Power, continuously striving to surpass his limits to protect his homeland.

Appearance

Cabba features spiky black hair and black eyes. Distinct from the Saiyans of Universe 7, he lacks a tail entirely and possesses a remarkably slender, slim physique. His attire consists of traditional Saiyan clothing reminiscent of the style worn by the Saiyan race prior to their integration into the Frieza Force.

Personality

Cabba is earnest, gentle, and highly polite, referring to himself with modest pronouns and speaking respectfully. However, his speech turns fierce when enraged or confronting enemies. Possessing an intense sense of justice, he dedicates himself to protecting others and combating villainy. He is humble yet driven to grow stronger, actively seeking instruction when encountering unfamiliar battle techniques. Cabba holds deep respect for his seniors, particularly admiring Vegeta as his master, while showing discomfort around wild or unruly personalities.

Abilities

Cabba matches base-form Vegeta in combat efficiency and adopts an identical fighting stance. He demonstrates high tactical skill by using environmental factors like sunlight glare to his advantage. His primary technique is the Galick Cannon, an energy wave executed with the same posture as Vegeta's Galick Gun. Through extreme anger, he can transform into a Super Saiyan, a form he quickly mastered. During the Tournament of Power, intense rage over insults to his master enabled him to reach Super Saiyan 2, allowing him to fire a massive energy wave resembling the Final Flash.

Background

Originally serving as an ace in the Sadala Defense Force, Cabba was selected by God of Destruction Champa to represent Universe 6 in a tournament against Universe 7. During his match against Vegeta, he learned of Super Saiyan, achieved the transformation, and forged a master-disciple bond with Vegeta despite his loss. Prior to the Tournament of Power, he sought out recruits at the suggestion of his former captain Renso, bringing Caulifla and Kale onto the team. During the battle royale, Cabba eliminated warriors like Nigrisshi, Murisam, and Monna. Though eliminated by Frieza and briefly erased alongside his universe, he was revived by Android 17's wish.

Relationships

Cabba views Vegeta as his master, revering him deeply after Vegeta helped him unlock Super Saiyan and imparted the pride of their race. Cabba hopes to welcome Vegeta to Planet Sadala someday. He respects Renso, his former defense force captain, who recommended his sister Caulifla. Although Cabba is initially unnerved by Caulifla's brash attitude, he recruits her for her immense potential. He also helps train her protege Kale, inadvertently provoking her hidden power. Additionally, Cabba was once betrayed by Frost, whom he had previously trusted as a righteous champion of peace.

Trivia

Cabba's name is derived from the vegetable cabbage. While his outfit is noted to mirror the ancient ethnic garments of early Saiyans, his polite temperament and slender appearance bear a striking resemblance to Tarble, the younger brother of Universe 7's Vegeta.
