When tasked with recruiting powerful warriors alongside Cheelai, he picked up a distress signal on Asteroid Vampa, finding Paragus and Broly. Becoming protective of Broly's gentle spirit, he aided Cheelai during the battle on Earth by helping her steal the Dragon Balls and wish Broly back to Vampa before Gogeta could finish him. After defecting from the army, he relocated to Planet Beerus alongside Cheelai and Broly to evade Frieza.
