Overview

Zeno is the supreme deity of the Dragon Ball multiverse, appearing in works such as Dragon Ball Super. As the absolute ruler over all twelve existing universes, he stands above every Kaioshin and God of Destruction. He resides in a unique palace built atop a giant blue jellyfish, escorted by tall attendants and the Grand Minister. Despite his absolute authority and terrifying capability, he forms an improbable friendship with Son Goku, who treats him with lighthearted familiarity.

Appearance

Zeno stands at a height of approximately 70 centimeters with a very small build. He features a rugby-ball-shaped oval head with grey cylindrical ears protruding from the sides. His face displays a distinct blue and purple coloration. He wears a bright magenta and yellow outfit featuring a large, vertically symmetrical design derived from the kanji character for 'All' on his front.

Personality

Zeno possesses a childish, innocent, and pure temperament, referring to himself with a youth's pronoun and speaking in a simple, gentle cadence. However, his total lack of malice makes him detached and emotionless when deciding to wipe out entire regions. He evaluates mortal growth across the universes according to his own criteria and expects proper governance. While most gods cower in terror before him, he takes a liking to Son Goku's casual attitude and willingly accepts friendly nicknames from him.

Abilities

Though he does not engage in traditional combat, Zeno possesses the absolute power of erasure. By gathering a pale blue light in his hands, he can instantaneously wipe out anything from existence, ranging from a single individual or object to entire universes and parallel timelines, bypassing any form of immortality. He is also capable of floating freely through the air and teleporting instantly to locations associated with his dedicated device.

Background

Zeno has presided over the multiverse for billions of years. In the distant past, he permanently reduced the total number of universes from eighteen down to twelve after becoming displeased. Following events where administrative failures led to crises across space, he chose to test the mortal standing of the remaining realms by hosting the Tournament of Power upon a suggestion from Son Goku. In another timeline overwhelmed by Zamasu, he personally erased the corrupted universe entirely.

Relationships

Zeno commands all the deities in the multiverse, including Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction such as Beerus and Champa, who treat him with absolute awe and fear. His immediate household consists of his tall attendants and the Grand Minister, who handles administrative matters. He forms a close, friendly bond with Son Goku, allowing Goku to address him with an informal nickname and viewing him as a genuine friend.

In digital card games like Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Zeno appears as a special utility character with abilities that suppress powerful enemy attackers. Overseas localized releases and adaptations officially romanize his name as Zen-Oh or Zeno.
