Overview
Majin Duu is a character from the anime series Dragon Ball DAIMA. Created by Great Majin Maba under the orders of Dr. Arinsu, he is the younger brother of Majin Kuu. Combining attributes of Majin Buu and a Saibaiman, he possesses immense combat ability paired with a remarkably childish and innocent demeanor.
Appearance
Majin Duu looks like a combination of Majin Buu (Innocent) and a Saibaiman. His eyes feature black sclera with red pupils, similar to Evil Buu and Kid Buu. When mimicking Son Goku, he shifts into a physical state resembling Super Saiyan 3.
Personality
Extremely childish, free-spirited, and gluttonous, Majin Duu exhibits a very low mental age. He loves sweets, showing a strong fondness for chocolate and chocolate chip cookies. He greets others with a playful exclamatory phrase and performed a hip dance upon creation. Though he roughly listens to Dr. Arinsu, he views even serious battles as play.
Abilities
Majin Duu commands exceptional fighting strength that surpasses his brother, Majin Kuu. Utilizing an elastic body, he employs unpredictable strikes alongside ki blasts fired from his palms, mirroring the combat style of Kid Buu. He fought evenly against Super Saiyan Son Goku (Mini) and overwhelmed Tamagami Number One. Eating a massive chocolate chip cookie temporarily boosts his power, enabling a transformation resembling Super Saiyan 3, though this form drains his stamina almost immediately. He does not fire beams from his head antenna.
Background
Dissatisfied with Majin Kuu's capabilities, Dr. Arinsu instructed Great Majin Maba to build a stronger Majin. He was created by combining an intact piece of Majin Buu's flesh with a Saibaiman seed buried deep in the ground. Immediately after birth, he demanded sweets. He later joined forces with Son Goku during the battle against Gomah. Following Gomah's defeat, he was appointed as a minister by his brother Kuu, who became the new Demon King.
Relationships
Majin Duu was created by Dr. Arinsu and Great Majin Maba. Majin Kuu acts as his elder brother, often taking care of him and feeding him sweets. During the conflict with Gomah, he temporarily joined forces with Son Goku (Mini).
Trivia
His name is believed to derive from 'Deux', the French word for the number two. His signature greeting and playful demeanor pay homage to classic elements from Akira Toriyama's works. He also appears as a playable character in digital games such as Dragon Ball Super Divers and Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle.
