Appearance
Gang Orca stands at a massive height of 202 centimeters. He possesses a humanoid body structure combined with physical traits reminiscent of a killer whale, notably his head. He wears a tailored white suit as his standard attire. To combat his innate vulnerability to dry environments, he carries a plastic water bottle with him during operations to keep himself hydrated.
Personality
Gang Orca possesses a stern, unyielding demeanor, often adopting the role of a harsh drill instructor when training younger heroes. Behind this tough exterior, however, lies a gentle heart that genuinely loves children. He secretly worries about his terrifying facial features causing young children to cry in his presence. Although he deeply desires to offer praise and encouragement to the next generation, his public persona and serious disposition often prevent him from displaying his warmth openly.
Abilities
His Quirk, Orca, grants him the abilities of a killer whale on both land and underwater. His primary super move, Ultrasonic Wave Attack, fires intense high-frequency sound waves from his head to temporarily paralyze opponents, with the paralyzing effect becoming more severe at closer range. Beyond offensive capabilities, he can utilize these ultrasonic waves for environmental detection and tracking enemies. His primary physical weakness is extreme dryness, which severely impairs his condition.
Background
As a distinguished Pro Hero, Gang Orca participated in the Kamino warehouse raid alongside heroes like Best Jeanist and Mt. Lady. During the Provisional Hero License Exam, he acted as a formidable villain adversary to test examinees under pressure. He later took charge of the remedial course for students such as Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Inasa Yoarashi, and Camie Utsushimi. In winter, he hosted Kyoka Jiro and Mezo Shoji for their internship, imparting advanced search and tracking techniques. Eight years following the second decisive battle, he holds 21st place on the Hero Billboard Chart JP.
Relationships
He commands a team of over twenty sidekicks who affectionately refer to him as "Boss." He shares a fierce rivalry with Shishido, a lion-themed Pro Hero who frequently clashes with him. He has mentored several young hero students, including Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Inasa Yoarashi, Camie Utsushimi, Kyoka Jiro, and Mezo Shoji, pushing them to improve their combat and communication skills through rigorous training and internships.
Trivia
Due to his fearsome appearance, he was ranked third in the "Heroes Who Look Like Villains" popularity poll. His character design and core traits are directly derived from Sakamata, a character in author Kohei Horikoshi's previous work Oumagadoki Zoo, including his unique habit of pouring bottled water on himself to offset severe dehydration.
