Overview

Tomoko Shiretoko, better known by her hero name Ragdoll, is a Pro Hero in the series My Hero Academia. She is the original founder and key mood-maker of Wild, Wild Pussycats, a four-member specialized hero team focusing primarily on mountain rescue operations. Known for her bright personality and sharp analytical capabilities, she acts as an indispensable support member who keeps the team motivated. Although an incident during a villain attack drastically changes her hero career, she continues to play a vital role in supporting her teammates.

Appearance

Ragdoll stands 166 centimeters tall, featuring long green hair and distinct yellow sanpaku eyes. Her hero costume is predominantly yellow, complemented by cat-ear headgear and large paw-shaped gloves. On her face, she bears painted cat whiskers across her cheeks as well as a distinctive circular marking around one of her eyes.

Personality

Ragdoll possesses an extraordinarily bright and energetic personality, serving as the enthusiastic mood-maker for her team. She speaks with a unique flavor, frequently referring to herself with the uncommon pronoun achiki and employing lively cat-themed catchphrases. Beneath her upbeat and eccentric demeanor lies a deeply observant individual with a sharp mind. She pays close attention to her surroundings, combining her natural enthusiasm with careful consideration to assist those around her effectively.

Abilities

Ragdoll originally possessed the Quirk Search, an information-gathering ability that allowed her to instantly monitor up to 100 people she had observed. Through this power, she could discern their physical locations, weaknesses, and other critical details, seeing star-shaped markers over targets she had identified. She also utilized a special attack known as Neko Masshigura. However, her Quirk was stolen by All For One, completely stripping her of these superhuman tracking powers.

Background

After conceiving the idea for Wild, Wild Pussycats, Ragdoll worked actively as a Pro Hero specializing in rescue missions. During a joint training camp for U.A. High School students, the team was ambushed by the League of Villains. Ragdoll was targeted for her specialized abilities and went missing during the attack. She was eventually located and rescued from a Nomu facility in Kamino Ward, but All For One had already stolen her Quirk. Forced to retire from active hero field duties, she chose not to relinquish her desire to help; instead, she took on administrative office work, supporting her fellow team members from behind the scenes.

Relationships

Ragdoll shares a tight bond with her fellow Wild, Wild Pussycats teammates—Mandalay, Pixie-Bob, and Tiger—whom she fondly cherishes. Even after losing her combat capabilities, she stays dedicated to facilitating their activities through clerical support. Conversely, she stands in direct opposition to All For One and the League of Villains, who abducted her and stole her Quirk.

Trivia

Despite the temporary suspension of their hero operations, the Wild, Wild Pussycats team placed 411th in the Hero Billboard Chart JP for the second half of the year. Following her shift to desk duty, Ragdoll jokingly referred to her new clerical role as being an OL Cat (Office Lady Cat). Additionally, official reference material lists stuffed animals among her favorite things.
