Appearance
Aha's actual body is a headless black humanoid shape hidden behind a mask. Positioned where its head would be is a theatrical mask with a glowing forehead, surrounded by a floating collection of various masks and toys. Additionally, the icon representing the Path of Elation features a chalice filled with water.
Personality
Aha is an unrepentant hedonist who considers emotional upheaval and fate's absurd twists to be the ultimate form of entertainment. Believing that humor is a privilege unique to intelligent life, Aha values unexpected miscommunications and hilarious paradoxes over victory or serious purpose. The Aeon delights in dark irony, often bestowing blessings on those who oppose Elation simply for the absurdity of the situation.
Abilities
Aha possesses the power to randomly grant Path energy and Emanator status, once bestowing supreme intelligence and divine strength upon a brainless Noblesse Worm. The Aeon can disguise itself as an ordinary human to remain undetected for over a year and can cause immense localized destruction, such as demolishing half a train and an entire planet. Within simulated environments, Aha demonstrates unique meta-awareness, remaining conscious of being digital data.
Background
According to a fable, Aha was born upon reaching the high branches of the Tree of Existence, where seeing the cold emptiness of the universe juxtaposed with a crying infant caused the Aeon to burst into galactic laughter. Throughout history, Aha has orchestrated chaotic events across the stars, such as using a paradox virus to shut down Emperor Rupert's mechanical army, infiltrating Akivili's Astral Express to blow up half the train, and sponsoring a faction attempting to assassinate the Aeon IX purely for amusement.
Relationships
Aha inspires the faithful Masked Fools while ironically granting Aeon powers to the Mourning Actors, a group of ascetics who actively reject Elation. Aha shares a turbulent history with Akivili the Trailblaze, having spent a year undercover on the Astral Express before blowing part of it up and running up debts that earned a scolding from Conductress Pom-Pom. Aha also interferes with Herta's Simulated Universe and plays indirect roles in events surrounding IX and Nanook.
Trivia
Aha's name originates from the exclamation expressing joy or triumph. The Path of Elation's icon, depicting a cup filled with water, is believed to be modeled after The Magician card from the Tarot. In the Swarm Disaster game mode, Aha's signature die is uniquely designed as a seamless sphere, leading the Aeon to humorously ask the player how many faces it has.
