Himeko is a character in Honkai: Star Rail who serves as the Navigator of the Astral Express. A scientist driven by an adventurous spirit, she personally repaired the stranded train during her youth and took to the stars. She currently guides the Nameless on their journey across the galaxy, acting as a core figure of the Astral Express crew with her combination of intellect and composure.

Himeko is a woman with long red hair and golden eyes, featuring a mole on her breast. She wears a high-cleavage white dress with red lining on the underside of the skirt, paired with a black conductor-style long coat worn over her right arm. Her ensemble includes gold jewelry, a collar accessory, earrings, a wrist ornament, dark gloves, and high heels. In combat, she carries a weapon container styled like a travel bag.

Himeko is an adventurous scientist who maintains a broad, welcoming perspective toward her companions. She values the bond among the train crew, treating them like a supportive family regardless of their individual origins or destinations. While modest about her high intellect, she takes great initiative in frontier exploration. She enjoys custom-brewing coffee for others, though her unique blends are notoriously ill-received by nearly everyone who tries them.

Aligning with the Fire element and the Path of The Erudition, Himeko excels at multi-target combat. She deploys a specialized weapon container that transforms into close-range explosives or a buzzsaw-equipped drone for automatic follow-up strikes. Her ultimate power commands an orbital satellite to fire a massive heat beam across the battlefield, and she can set up a temporary zone that enhances enemy vulnerability to flame attacks.

Background

During her youth in her hometown, Himeko discovered the stranded Astral Express and spent years successfully engineering its repair. Choosing to embark with the train as its Navigator, she revived the lost path of Trailblaze across the stars. Despite her complex family history and past events in her homeland, she continues to lead the crew, welcoming new members and handling diplomatic interactions with major galactic factions.

Relationships

Himeko serves as a guiding anchor for Astral Express crew members including Welt Yang, March 7th, Dan Heng, the Trailblazer, and Pom-Pom. She maintains a distant relationship with her father, Ryusuke Murata. Additionally, she establishes diplomatic contacts with external figures such as Herta of the Genius Society and key representatives of the Interastral Peace Corporation.
