Overview
Hook is a playable character from Honkai: Star Rail who serves as the self-proclaimed leader of The Moles, a local adventure squad in the Underworld of Belobog on Jarilo-VI. Calling herself "Pitch-Dark Hook the Great," she strives to prove her independence without relying on adults. Alongside her childhood friends, she coordinates small missions to help maintain safety in Boulder Town, operating in tandem with Wildfire. In battle, she is a Fire-attribute character walking the Path of The Destruction.
Appearance
Hook has long blonde hair tied into low twintails, yellow eyes, and a visible single fang. She wears a large white Cossack-style hat (ushanka), a black coat with a white collar and black fur trim, a yellow shirt underneath, black shorts, black gloves, and black boots. Additionally, she wears a protective knee pad on her left knee.
Personality
Hook acts tough and hates being patronized as a child, striving to maintain a fierce boss persona. Despite her bravado, she possesses a warm and innocent nature, caring deeply for her friends and squad members. She holds profound affection for her adoptive father, Fersman, and is willing to part with her most treasured belongings to help him. However, she remains somewhat fearful of Natasha's discipline and medical authority.
Abilities
In combat, Hook wields a large mechanical claw device called "Diggertron." Her attacks deal Fire damage and frequently inflict the Burn status on enemies to deal damage over time. Her Ultimate deals heavy single-target Fire damage while enhancing her next Skill to strike neighboring targets as well. Her Technique allows her to initiate battle by attacking an enemy and chancing a Burn effect on all opponents.
Background
Originally from Rivet Town, Hook moved to Boulder Town after her hometown fell into ruin. Having lost her biological parents at a young age, she was taken in by their close friend, Fersman, who raised her as his own daughter. She formed The Moles alongside her playmates to go on adventures around the Underworld. After meeting Clara at the Robot Settlement and receiving Diggertron, she invited her and later the Trailblazer to join as honorary members.
Relationships
Hook shares a deep, emotional bond with her adoptive father, Fersman. Alina and Julian are her childhood friends and fellow squad members in The Moles. She recognizes Clara and the Trailblazer as honorary members of her group. She frequently refers to Natasha as the "old witch" due to her strictness, though she still relies on her care. She is also on friendly terms with Luka, the Underworld fighter.
Trivia
Her English name "Hook" translates to a curved claw or fastener. One of her most cherished possessions is a large teddy bear named Junjun. During the Aetherium Wars tournament held by the Interastral Peace Corporation, she demonstrated exceptional gaming talent and achieved top-ranking success.
