She is a cat-girl with short grey hair styled with a braid and a white bow, blue eyes, cat ears, a cat tail, fangs, and a mole on her chest. Her attire includes a cat-themed hooded jacket with a backless and cut-out design over a white shirt, shorts, black fingerless gloves displaying yellow nails, thigh straps, and metallic yellow boots with armored knee pads.
Personality
Playful, energetic, and slightly mischievous, Cipher leads an elusive lifestyle that frequently shuns her official demigod responsibilities. Although skilled at concocting lies and misleading others, her facial expressions tend to betray her whenever she tells a gentle lie. Despite her casual and evasive demeanour, she remains reliable at key moments and harbours an underlying desire for heroism.
Abilities
Cipher functions as a support and sub-DPS who records non-true damage dealt by teammates to a designated enemy target, converting the stored value into direct damage via her Ultimate. Her Technique grants an invisible, high-speed movement state that avoids detection and allows her to swipe consumables from enemies in exploration. Through her authority of deceit, she can sway minds to turn falsehoods into tangible illusions.
Background
Growing up impoverished in the fallen city of Dolos, she learned to survive by stealing. After receiving the divine spark of Zagreus and becoming a demigod, she chose to roam the lands of Amphoreus rather than take up official governance. Together with a band of three hundred rogues, she enacted swift justice against corrupt rulers and shared stolen wealth with the needy.
Relationships
Aglaea continuously urges Cipher to stop evading her demigod duties and accept her destiny. Cipher is frequently accompanied by Bartulos, a thief-spirit creature serving as her familiar, and maintains working ties with fellow Chrysos Heirs such as Castorice and Phainon.
Trivia
Her name Cipher translates to 'secret code', while her original name Cifera traces back to Latin forms and the Arabic word for 'zero' or 'void'. Her Technique name reference stems from the Charles Perrault fairy tale 'Puss in Boots'. Her thief archetype and cat motifs are considered a homage to Pardofelis from Honkai Impact 3rd.
