Overview

Lan is an Aeon who embodies the Path of The Hunt in Honkai: Star Rail. Revered by the Xianzhou Alliance as the Reignbow Arbiter and the God of the Heavenly Bow, Lan serves as the supreme deity and protector of the faction. Driven by endless enmity against the immortal abominations that once devastated their homeland, Lan continuously roams across the cosmos to hunt down the Aeon of Abundance and eradicate its lingering influence without rest.

Appearance

Lan features white hair and golden eyes, displaying a centaur-like silhouette that merges a human upper body with an equine lower frame. The entity carries a colossal bow. Lan rarely appears directly before mortals, usually perceived only as a blinding streak of light, a celestial arrow, or a meteor tearing through the sky.

Personality

Lan is driven by absolute resentment toward the Abundance and its creations. In executing a target, Lan acts without concern for collateral damage, rendering the distinction between salvation and destruction almost completely indistinguishable. Endless wandering across the cosmos has made the act of hunting itself Lan's sole remaining purpose.

Abilities

Lan wields the power to fire colossal Lux Arrows capable of vaporizing targets alongside surrounding space fleets and planetary bodies. These arrows rend space itself, releasing immense surges of Imaginary energy. Lan endows great power upon the Emanators of The Hunt, known as the Seven Arbiter-Generals of the Xianzhou Alliance, and can project giant battleaxes across dimensional spaces.

Background

Born as a human on the Xianzhou Yaoqing around Star Year 1700, the hero gained fame during the Suiyang War. After violently opposing the gift of the Ambrosial Arbor by shooting an arrow at it, the hero was placed into cryogenic stasis. Awakened during the Fire Calamity around Star Year 3300, the hero struck a deal with the Suiyang leader, Sui Huang, exchanging their body for power to inspire the Cloud Knights. Severing the Ambrosial Arbor with a cosmic shot, the hero ascended as the Aeon of The Hunt to lead the Xianzhou Alliance.

Relationships

Lan views Yaoshi, the Aeon of Abundance, and all Abundance abominations as sworn enemies to be eradicated. The Xianzhou Alliance worships Lan as their main deity, and Lan endows the Seven Arbiter-Generals with strength as Emanators. In mortal life, Lan forged a body-sharing pact with Sui Huang, the leader of the Suiyang. Later, Lan acknowledged a prayer from General Feixiao, casting a massive battleaxe into her inner beast's realm.

Trivia

In ancient Xianzhou speech, the name Lan translates to intangible mist. The title Reignbow derives from an ancient poetic Chinese term for a rainbow. A misspoken line by Boothill replacing divine edict with wheelchair sparked a widespread community meme depicting Lan in a wheelchair. While fans sometimes debate Lan's combat standing due to the narrow scope of The Hunt, official lore does not classify Lan as the weakest Aeon.
