Overview
Lingsha is a playable Fire-element character following the Path of The Abundance in Honkai: Star Rail. Serving as the newly appointed Cauldron Master of the Xianzhou Luofu's Alchemy Commission, she is a sharp and highly skilled Vidyadhara doctor. Originally known as Danzhu, she left the Luofu following her mentor's exile, spent time training on the Xianzhou Zhuming, and eventually returned to restore order to her home flagship after the Ambrosial Arbor crisis. On the surface, she maintains a polite, calm, and socially adept demeanor while skillfully managing complex factional relationships.
Appearance
Lingsha is a Vidyadhara woman featuring long brown straight hair topped with an ahoge, a decorative hairpin, pointy ears, and vivid red eyes with diamond-shaped pupils. Her attire consists of a sleeveless black crop top secured around her neck with a white criss-cross halter strap, paired with a black skirt and high-heeled shoes. She wears white wrist cuffs, a ring ornament around her thigh, and displays a reddish skin gradient extending down her lower limbs.
Personality
Externally, Lingsha is refined, gracious, and exceptionally polite, remaining perfectly composed and articulate even under heavy pressure. Internally, however, she possesses a fiery, hot-tempered personality. To manage her inner frustration and keep her emotions in check, she routinely burns custom soothing incense. Possessing an uncanny olfactory sense that lets her smell negative human traits such as jealousy, deceit, and greed, she handles troublesome individuals with razor-sharp wit and uncompromising pragmatism behind her gentle smile.
Abilities
As a Fire Abundance healer, Lingsha excels at party-wide healing, debuff cleansing, and boosting Weakness Break effectiveness. In combat, her skill summons an incense beast named Fuyuan, which executes follow-up attacks against all enemies, removes debuffs, and restores health to allies. Her skill and ultimate advance Fuyuan's action forward. Her ultimate deals Fire damage to all foes while inflicting a status that increases the Break damage they take. Using her technique instantly summons Fuyuan and applies this debuff at the start of battle.
Background
Originally named Danzhu, Lingsha studied medicine under Yunhua, the former Cauldron Master of the Luofu. When Yunhua was exiled to the Xianzhou Zhuming after attempting to restore memories to the newly reincarnated Dan Heng, Danzhu chose to follow her master. On Zhuming, she studied under Yantingjun, mastered incense therapy and specialized treatments, and adopted the name Lingsha. Following the Ambrosial Arbor incident, she was recalled to the Luofu to serve as the new Cauldron Master, where she cleared her long-standing misunderstanding with General Jing Yuan and exposed the treasonous schemes of the Vidyadhara Preceptor Taoran.
Relationships
Lingsha holds deep respect for her original master, Yunhua, whom she followed into exile. On Zhuming, she honed her medical arts under Yantingjun. Although she initially harbored resentment toward General Jing Yuan over her master's banishment, she eventually reconciled with him after learning the full context. She works alongside Dan Heng and High Elder Bailu to apprehend the corrupt Preceptor Taoran, and maintains a firm, zero-tolerance attitude when dealing with deceitful colleagues such as Jiaoqiu.
Trivia
The name "Lingsha" originates from a traditional Chinese medicinal compound primarily composed of mercuric sulfide. Visually and historically, she shares her former name Danzhu and appearance with Nuwa (Danzhu) from Honkai Impact 3rd, functioning as her parallel counterpart in Honkai: Star Rail. She also has a habit of categorizing human malice, envy, and corruption through distinct scents.
