Sugilite debuts in the Myriad Celestia Trailer Stoneheart's Oath Ring: Both Ends of the Scale. He attends a Ten Stonehearts tribunal to deliberate whether Aventurine should be punished for breaking his cornerstone in Penacony. Dismissing Aventurine's actions as dramatic grandstanding, Sugilite votes in favor of penalizing him, which leads to a clash with Topaz. After the vote ends in a four-to-four tie, he smugly notes that the situation went as expected, leaving the final ruling to Opal, who ultimately pardons Aventurine.
Relationships
Sugilite serves under Diamond, the leader of the Strategic Investment Department. He maintains a cold relationship with Aventurine, having voted to punish him while mocking his sacrifices in Penacony. This stance drew direct opposition from Topaz, who accused him of ignoring facts and holding biased assumptions.
