Overview
Zephyro is a character from Honkai: Star Rail. He is one of the Lord Ravagers, high-ranking leaders serving under Nanook within the Antimatter Legion. Renowned as a terrifying one-man army, he is obsessed with the explosive power and aesthetic beauty revealed in the exact moment of complete destruction.
Appearance
Zephyro has white hair and carries a sword.
Personality
Zephyro is intensely fixated on the raw force and beauty that emerges when things are destroyed. Although he is regarded as the most violently destructive among the Lord Ravagers, some view an encounter with him as a swift demise devoid of lingering pain. His actions are theorized by some to be a form of defiance against the void.
Abilities
Zephyro possesses astronomical destructive power. He can ignite stars to vitrify planetary surfaces with extreme heat, generate catastrophic cyclones to tear ecosystems apart, and bore through planetary crusts to strike and crush planetary cores. He is also capable of triggering supernovas and utilizing the power of his fellow Lord Ravager, Iron Tomb, combining it with black tide erosion in combat.
Background
Zephyro holds a catastrophic record of laying waste to numerous star systems across the cosmos, including New Bethlehem, Adlivun, the Shield of the Moon, and Wen II. Theories among the Doctors of Chaos suggest he may be a Self-Annihilator influenced by the Aeon IX, directing his destructive force against Nihility itself. He has appeared alongside other Lord Ravagers under Nanook's gaze and later engaged in a fierce battle against Phlegethon, where he used formidable combat abilities to sever his opponent's arm.
Relationships
Zephyro serves under Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction, as part of the Antimatter Legion. His fellow Lord Ravagers include Cocolia (or related peers such as Sun Devourer, Phantylia, and others named in the legion). In battle, he has commanded the unique abilities of his peer Iron Tomb and clashed directly in combat against Phlegethon.
Trivia
His Chinese name, Foehn, derives from the meteorological term for a warm, dry wind that blows down a mountainside, often associated with triggering wildfires.
