Overview

Cerydra is a character in Honkai: Star Rail. As a Chrysos Heir representing the authority of Law under the Titan Tarentum, she serves as the supreme monarch of Okhema in Amphoreus. Known by grand titles such as Imperator and Dictator, she walks the Path of Harmony as a Wind-element support character. Operating with absolute authority and sharp strategic vision, Cerydra views the entire world as her personal chessboard, orchestrating history to push her realm beyond its confines toward the stars.

Appearance

Cerydra has a compact, child-like physical frame. Her long white hair fades into a light blue gradient and is styled into a low ponytail with hime-cut sideburns and braids. Her blue eyes feature diamond-shaped pupils. Atop her head rests a miniature crown emitting blue flames that turn red when angry. She wears a shoulder-baring blue and white dress with detached sleeves, a blue fur-trimmed cape, and blue crystal bat-like wings on her lower back. Her legwear is asymmetrical, with a thigh strap on her left leg, a single black thighhigh on her right, and black high-heeled boots shaped like chess pieces.

Personality

Cerydra possesses the imperious authority and iron intellect of a true monarch. Despite her feminine title, she employs masculine self-referential language and carries an extraordinarily proud, commanding demeanor. Pragmatic to a fault, she views all people—including herself—as disposable pieces on a grand tactical board, showing no hesitation in executing ruthless purges or demanding harsh sacrifices for the greater good. Beneath her cold authoritarianism lies an unshakeable sense of duty as a ruler. Notably, she is extremely sensitive about her short, child-like physical stature, treating any lighthearted remarks about her size as an offense worthy of harsh retribution.

Abilities

As a Wind Harmony character, Cerydra specializes in buffing allies and enabling double Skill usage. Her Basic Attack launches a chess Rook piece at an enemy for Wind damage. Her Skill grants Military Merit to a chosen ally while gathering charges; accumulating enough charges upgrades this status to Nobility, cleansing crowd control while enhancing Skill CRIT DMG and All-Type RES PEN. Units with Nobility execute an immediate re-cast of their Skill without spending SP. Her Ultimate deals Wind area-of-effect damage to all enemies, restores charges, and auto-assigns Military Merit if unassigned. Her Talent boosts attack power and triggers coordinated Wind follow-up strikes.

Background

Originally a homeless orphan in the northern kingdom of Hyperia, Cerydra was adopted by aristocrats who exploited her unusual hair color to fabricate a divine prophecy of a golden-blooded ruler. Rather than acting as a puppet, she subtly expanded her private army and influence. After personally suppressing a major uprising, she revealed that she had bartered her own physical growth with the Law Titan Tarentum in exchange for true golden blood, establishing her unquestioned rule over the realm. During the First Siege of Okhema, she arrived alongside her general Seirenes to save the city. She subsequently purged the corrupt Senate, named herself dictator, and initiated the historic First Flame-Chase Journey to hunt Titans. Though her initial campaign ended in severe casualties and her eventual disappearance, the structural laws she imposed endured across centuries.

Relationships

Seirenes: Cerydra's most trusted general and companion. She fought alongside Cerydra during the siege of Okhema and faithfully executed her sovereign's secret commands. Aglaea: The official successor who restored order to Okhema following Cerydra's retreat from public view, taking over leadership of the city. Tribbie: A key ally who co-issued the historic decree launching the initial Flame-Chase expedition. Phainon, Trailblazer, & Cyrene: Significant figures across the cyclical timelines of Amphoreus with whom Cerydra negotiated complex alliances, tested loyalties, and forged agreements regarding the world's ultimate fate.

Trivia

Her motif heavily incorporates international chess themes, reflected in skill names based on pawn promotion and four-move checkmate patterns. Her name is derived from Ceryneia, an ancient Greek region famous in myth for the Ceryneian Hind associated with the labors of Heracles. Her title Imperator / Caesar and her unique trace abilities—Veni, Vidi, and Vici—directly reference the famous Latin quote attributed to Julius Caesar (I came, I saw, I conquered).
