Appearance
Bailu has very long purple hair styled into twin braids with two prominent standing lock strands on her head. She possesses blue eyes, pointed ears, eastern dragon horns on her head, and a dragon tail. Her attire features a white outer garment with wave patterns worn over a black dress, complemented by detached sleeves trimmed with fur. She carries a large gourd, wears blue socks, and sports black footwear.
Personality
Bailu is energetic, cheerful, and mischievous, frequently fleeing her strict supervision at the Alchemy Commission to roam the streets and sample local delicacies. Although she speaks in a grand and archaic tone, her demeanor remains genuinely child-like and lively. She is a compassionate physician who hates seeing others in pain, often closing her eyes tightly while administering care. Her medical advice can be humorously pragmatic or unorthodox, such as recommending rest, hot water, or good meals.
Abilities
In combat, Bailu uses her dragon tail to strike a single enemy with Lightning damage. Her Skill heals a targeted ally and then bounces to randomly restore health to allies twice more with diminishing effectiveness. Her Ultimate provides wide-area healing to all party members while applying or extending the Invigoration state. Through her Talent, allies with Invigoration regain health whenever they sustain attacks, and she can revive an ally who receives a fatal blow once per battle.
Background
Chosen by the former High Elder Dan Feng, Bailu inherited the ancestral life force necessary to weave seals, though her dragon powers remained incomplete and focused primarily on healing. Kept under strict surveillance by dragon preceptors who withheld actual political power from her, she studied medicine at the Alchemy Commission to help those in need. During the Stellaron crisis, she assisted in reinforcing the seal on the Ambrosial Arbor at Scalegorge Waterscape and supported the revitalisation of Aurum Alley.
Relationships
Bailu received her High Elder position and restoration power from her predecessor Dan Feng. She works alongside Dan Heng, Dan Feng's current incarnation, to manage the seal within Scalegorge Waterscape. General Jing Yuan frequently visits her for routine medical checkups, sharing stories of outside worlds in casual conversation. She also forms a close bond with Sushang and the Trailblazer while assisting them in commercial efforts at Aurum Alley, and maintains ties with Lingsha of the Alchemy Commission.
Trivia
One of Bailu's signature idle animations depicts her attempting to chase her own tail, puffing out her cheeks in frustration when she fails to catch it. Her name is derived from the fifteenth solar term of the traditional calendar, White Dew. Furthermore, her basic attack name incorporates a playful spin on traditional diagnostic methods in Oriental medicine.
