Overview
Xipe is an Aeon representing the Path of Harmony in the space-fantasy RPG Honkai: Star Rail. Known as the Master of Harmony or the Mother of Swarm Stars, She is a collective deity formed from the union of multiple celestial worlds. Embodied as a thousand-faced singular entity, Xipe preaches universal joy and complete unity. To combat the unyielding laws of the cosmos, She urges sentient beings to relinquish selfish desires and individual distinctions, merging their minds into a singular harmonious anthem.
Appearance
Xipe possesses extremely long silver hair and distinct eyes featured with a sky-blue outer ring and a purple inner ring. Physical traits include multiple faces and bare feet. Visually, Her figure is surrounded by a cosmic expanse resembling liquid crushed diamonds, and She holds the vibrant rainbow of civilizations directly within Her hands.
Personality
Xipe embodies absolute unity, mutual support, and unconditional benevolence. She rejects conflict, individual selfish desires, and social hierarchies, advocating for a cosmic existence where all living beings understand and aid one another. Her doctrine preaches that the strong should assist the weak and that life should be protected through selfless devotion. While Her demeanor radiates warm compassion and joy, Her underlying nature demands the complete erasure of individuality in favor of an all-encompassing collective harmony.
Abilities
As the Aeon presiding over the Path of Harmony, Xipe commands vast consciousness-manipulating powers. During Her ascension, She absorbed and assimilated Ena, the Aeon of Order, owing to their overlapping conceptual nature. She manifests Her divine influence through the Harmonious Choirs—multiple avatars embodying core virtues, such as Dominicus, Constantina, Irinev, and Beatrice, which can be summoned through ritualistic performances led by Tuners. Additionally, a simple glance from Xipe can bestow the power of Harmony upon worthy individuals.
Background
Xipe originated from the merger of multiple harmonious celestial bodies into a single collective consciousness. During the era of the Swarm Disaster, as Xipe ascended to Aeonhood, She assimilated the ancient Aeon of Order, Ena. Her followers formed The Family, a faction dedicated to spreading Her doctrine across the galaxy, which transformed the former prison planet Penacony into a celebrated paradise. When the Trailblazer stood against Sunday's plot to forcibly impose Order over Penacony's dreamscape, Xipe acknowledged the Trailblazer with a glance, granting them the strength of Harmony.
Relationships
Xipe shares an assimilated bond with Ena, the Aeon of Order, whom She absorbed during Her ascension. The faction known as The Family reveres Xipe as their divine parent, upholding Her vision of non-hierarchical unity. The Aeon Akivili commented on Xipe's multi-faceted form in Simulated Universe records. Entities known as the Harmonious Choirs—including Dominicus, Constantina, Irinev, and Beatrice—are not separate mortal disciples but facets of Xipe Herself. During the Penacony crisis, She granted Her favor directly to the Trailblazer.
Trivia
Xipe's name is derived from Xipe Totec, an Aztec deity associated with agriculture, spring, and metalworkers. In the Simulated Universe, Xipe's dialogue features a distinct presentation where dual or contrasting words appear simultaneously, separated by slashes in alternating blue and red text—a stylistic choice reflecting Her collective consciousness and the lingering essence of Ena. Additionally, The Family's hymn, Ode to Harmony, closely mirrors Friedrich Schiller and Ludwig van Beethoven's Ode to Joy in both theme and structure.
