Overview
Owlbert is a featured broadcaster for Interastral Peace Media, an entertainment branch of the Interastral Peace Corporation in Honkai: Star Rail. Serving as the anchor for official version update livestreams and the Keeping Up With Star Rail informative series, he acts as the primary public ambassador for the megacorporation's corporate media.
Appearance
Owlbert physically resembles a large snowy owl. He features grey and purple long hair tied in a ponytail with crossed bangs hanging between grey eyes. His attire consists of a black top hat, eyewear perched atop his head, a white shirt, a black jacket, and black fingerless gloves.
Personality
Though energetic and outgoing while hosting, Owlbert is a perpetually stressed corporate employee constantly anxious about being fired. While he acts overly subservient toward company executives, he often grumbles about his minimal salary and heavy workload in private. He exhibits a very expressive, mortal temperament—fawnish toward celebrities, deferential to authority, and prone to slipping up when trying to be overly clever.
Abilities
Owlbert possesses professional broadcasting and commentary skills, expertly managing livestreams, show hosting, and promotional announcements. He is also capable of remotely operating mechanical puppets to serve as an on-site master of ceremonies for major public events.
Background
Despite graduating from Snowy Owl Hoot Hoot University and securing a P40 rank within the Interastral Peace Corporation, Owlbert belongs to a heavily overworked media unit. He built his career hosting corporate updates and online character previews. During the Luminary Wardance tournament, he made his physical story debut on location by projecting his voice and actions through a remote-controlled puppet.
Relationships
In his corporate ties, Owlbert acts highly obsequious toward his superior Topaz and bound himself to a budget-draining agreement with Jade of the Ten Stonehearts. He shows starry-eyed admiration for the singer Robin, whereas his reckless commentary regarding the anti-IPC cowboy Boothill resulted in becoming a target of his anger.
Trivia
Owlbert's English name is a blend of the word "owl" and the given name "Albert." His comical expression-filled plushies appear inside a claw machine featured on the Light Cone artwork for "Before the Tutorial Mission Starts." Additionally, his likeness has been featured on real-world promotional food packaging for corporate collaborations.
