Abilities
Through hosting the Saint's Corpse, Lucy awakens the Stand named Ticket to Ride. Her tears solidify into razor-sharp blades that she can detach and use to cut others. Anyone wounded by these tear blades is plagued by a relentless chain of misfortunes, manipulating fate so that events naturally unfold to Lucy's advantage, though relying on this power causes her physical suffering and weakens her life force.
Background
Born into a struggling immigrant family named Pendleton, Lucy was saved from being sold to debt collectors when Steven Steel stepped in to pay her ransom, establishing a protective marital union. During the Steel Ball Run race, she learned of the plot against her husband and joined the clash for the Corpse, disguising herself as First Lady Scarlet Valentine with the aid of Hot Pants. Decades later, she joined the Speedwagon Foundation as an investigator and traveled to Morioh in 1941 to examine the Locacaca fruit, passing away from a lung condition three years after the expedition.
Relationships
Lucy shares an unbreakable bond of mutual trust and love with her husband, Steven Steel. She earned the romantic admiration of Mountain Tim, who assisted her during the early stages of her struggle. Throughout her pursuit of the Corpse, she allied with Gyro Zeppeli, Johnny Joestar, and Hot Pants. In her later years, she conducted field research alongside Joseph Joestar, the grandson of Johnny Joestar.
Trivia
Her maiden name, Pendleton, shares the same surname as Erina Pendleton from the series' first installment. Her Stand name, Ticket to Ride, is derived from the famous song by The Beatles.
