Overview

A key character in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 8: JoJolion. Introduced as a medical student working part-time at TG University Hospital, he is secretly a Rock Human and the mastermind orchestrating the smuggling of the New Locacaca fruit. Seeking to monopolize this valuable resource for elite clientele, he operates behind the scenes while disguised as an ordinary young man. Leveraging an automated Stand capability that weaponizes misfortune, he acts as the primary overarching antagonist of the story.

Appearance

He is a good-looking young man with slightly drooping eyebrows. His most prominent feature is a mushroom-shaped afro hairstyle decorated with spiral patterns on both the left and right sides. On the right chest of his vest, there is an ornament resembling a sun and the letter S. Additionally, he wears accessories shaped like teddy bears on both of his arms.

Personality

On the surface, he presents himself as an affable and polite young man, but beneath this facade lies a deeply self-centered and ruthless nature. Guided by the principle that personal safety is paramount, he prioritizes his own security and ambitions above all else. He displays an obsessive attachment to his former girlfriend Hirose Yasuho, persistently pressuring her to reconcile while disregarding her feelings. Toward his romantic rival Higashikata Josuke, he harbors strong hostility. When brought to the brink of death, his composure crumbles, exposing a desperate willingness to demean others and beg for survival.

Abilities

He possesses the long-range Stand named Wonder of U. Its visual form is an inorganic humanoid whose body is covered in ring-like shapes, with blades extending from both arms. The Stand acts autonomously under the identity of the elderly hospital director Satoru Akefu, complete with its own persona. When it registers anyone harboring pursuit or hostile intent toward itself or its user, it triggers a chain of unnatural accidents and misfortunes as a calamity that relentlessly drives the target to death.

Background

As a Rock Human, he developed during his early life by parasitizing a hornet nest before integrating into human society. As early as 1941, he was observed around the Higashikata estate in Morioh searching for Locacaca plants. Years later, he encountered a young Hirose Yasuho and utilized her emerging abilities to identify Satoru Akefu, an elderly doctor whose identity he stole for his Stand. In the present day, he works covertly at TG University Hospital while managing a contraband network for the New Locacaca. During the climax at the Higashikata residence, he suffers mortal wounds from invisible strikes and perishes when Higashikata Kaato forces an equivalent exchange that shatters his body into stone.

Relationships

He is the ex-boyfriend of Hirose Yasuho, whom he dated in high school; despite their separation, he continues to pursue her obsessively. He views Higashikata Josuke with bitter rivalry over Yasuho's affections. He used the identity of Satoru Akefu, an elderly doctor, as the public persona for his Stand. In his final confrontation with Higashikata Kaato, he attempts to manipulate her by bringing up the death of her son Higashikata Jobin, but she outmaneuvers him and uses equivalent exchange to end his life.

Trivia

He frequently listens to Elvis Presley's song The Wonder of You using a portable music player and earphones. Reflecting his biological origins, he retains the dietary habit of consuming hornets even in adulthood. Historical flashbacks set in 1941 reveal that he operated in Morioh with the exact same visual design and attire that he displays in the modern era.
