Overview
Reimi Sugimoto is a supporting character from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable. Existing as an earthbound spirit in a hidden alleyway within Morioh, she plays a vital role as the key figure who alerts the protagonists to the presence of a serial killer preying on the town. Described as a beautiful teenage girl who died at age sixteen, she functions as a tragic heroine guiding the heroes.
Appearance
She features short hair styled in a bob with long bangs and a hairband. Her hair and eyes are pink, though color manga depictions portray her with brown hair and green eyes. She wears a sleeveless pink dress along with sandals, arm warmers, and jewelry including earrings. A birthmark or spot is present on her chest, and a long, deep scar from her murder remains visible on her back.
Personality
Reimi possesses a gentle, caring, and sweet demeanor reminiscent of an affectionate older sister. Despite her tragic fate, she displays a powerful sense of justice, deeply desiring to protect the peace of her hometown by warning others about her killer. She exhibits a playful and friendly attitude toward those she once knew, affectionately addressing Rohan Kishibe as Rohan-chan.
Abilities
As a spirit bound to the non-turnaround alley between the living world and the afterlife, she exists alongside the ghost of her dog Arnold. Within this space, anyone who turns around is dragged into the underworld by vengeful hands, a phenomenon she utilized to force the spirit of Yoshikage Kira into retribution. In the spin-off novel JORGE JOESTAR, she possesses a building-like Stand named Arrow Cross House.
Background
Fifteen years prior to the main story, on August 13, 1983, Reimi, her parents, and her dog Arnold were murdered by Yoshikage Kira. During the attack, she saved the four-year-old Rohan Kishibe, who was visiting her home, by helping him escape through a window. Bound by her desire to see her killer brought to justice, she remained in the hidden alleyway for fifteen years as a ghost. After Kira's death and subsequent removal to the underworld, her lingering regrets were cleared, allowing her and Arnold to pass on to the afterlife surrounded by Morioh's Stand users.
Relationships
She was a neighboring babysitter to Rohan Kishibe during his childhood and gave her life to help him escape Kira's attack. When Rohan and Koichi Hirose wandered into her alley, she revealed the truth of her death and tasked them with uncovering the murderer. Yoshikage Kira is the serial killer responsible for destroying her family; she ultimately confronts his ghost and leads him to his demise. Throughout her afterlife, she is faithfully accompanied by her dog Arnold.
Trivia
The unmapped alleyway where she resides is located between the Owson convenience store and Drugstore Kisara, invisible to ordinary people. Due to Rohan Kishibe using his Stand ability on her, she is one of the extremely rare female characters in the series whose exact three measurements (B82 / W57 / H84) are officially documented within the narrative.
