Personality
Behind his public front, Sports Max is an extremely cruel and calculating criminal. He shows no hesitation in murdering witnesses to protect himself and will ruthlessly eliminate his own henchmen to destroy evidence. Within the prison, he bribes guards to overlook his illegal activities, including selling and injecting drugs, while acting violently toward other inmates. Conversely, he exhibits eerie habits, such as visiting the prison chapel and cemetery and crafting animal taxidermy in the workshop.
Abilities
He possesses the Stand Limp Bizkit, which reanimates dead organisms as invisible zombies under his control. These entities cannot be seen or heard by others, ignore gravity to walk on walls and ceilings, and exhibit high durability against physical damage since they are already dead. Driven by instinct, they crave living flesh and brains, enabling Sports Max to command reanimated humans as well as taxidermied birds and reptiles. Should Sports Max die, his ability transforms his own body into an invisible zombie that retains his intellect and memories. If a zombie Stand is destroyed, its corresponding corpse is also destroyed.
Background
Three years prior to his current sentence, Sports Max murdered Gloria Costello, the older sister of Ermes Costello, to silence her after she witnessed his violent crime. By thoroughly eliminating all evidence, he evaded murder charges and received only a light five-year sentence, prompting Ermes to intentionally get incarcerated to pursue him. Inside prison, Father Enrico Pucci granted him a Stand DISC and tasked him with using his power on DIO's bone, though the bone went berserk and escaped. Although Ermes later trapped and drowned him in a drainage pipe, he resurrected as an invisible zombie. He ambushed her in the prison cemetery, but Ermes ultimately outmaneuvered him, completely destroying his head and putting an end to his existence.
Relationships
Sports Max is the bitter sworn enemy of Ermes Costello, having murdered her older sister, Gloria Costello. He maintains a subordinate relationship with Father Enrico Pucci, who bestowed him with his Stand DISC and entrusted him with reanimating DIO's bone. During the battle inside the prison, he also acts as a direct adversary to Jolyne Cujo and Foo Fighters.
Trivia
The name of his Stand, Limp Bizkit, is derived from the real-world American nu metal band. In the North American release of the video game JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven, the Stand was renamed Flaccid Pancake. Additionally, the core concept of invisible zombies was inspired by the film Hollow Man, known as Invisible in Japan.
