Background
Originating from the same hometown as Funny Valentine, Scarlet met and married him 15 years prior to the events of the story. During the Steel Ball Run race, while residing in Chicago, she encountered Lucy Steel and grew fond of her. However, upon discovering that Lucy was using their relationship to gather intelligence on the President and the Sacred Corpse, Scarlet flew into a rage and tried to shoot her. In the ensuing struggle, Lucy tricked the situation, causing Mike O.'s Stand, Tubular Bells, to accidentally attack and kill Scarlet. Following her death, Hot Pants reshaped Scarlet's body into a double of Lucy to fake Lucy's demise.
Relationships
Scarlet is married to President Funny Valentine, whom she comes from the same town as, though she secretly despises him. She pursued an affectionate connection with Lucy Steel, which turned into fatal enmity upon discovering Lucy's scheme. Her death was accidentally caused by the Stand power of the President's bodyguard, Mike O. After her passing, Hot Pants altered her physical appearance to mimic Lucy, a disguise that Lucy's husband, Steven Steel, managed to spot.
