Kei wears a maid outfit paired with a cap reminiscent of a black school cap, which conceals her long black hair when tied up, though she lets it down during pursuits. Kei maintains a polite yet detached and emotionless demeanor, remaining composed under pressure. She speaks in a calm, matter-of-fact tone and rarely displays strong outward emotion. Despite her cold exterior, she exhibits warmth and affection when interacting with her mother, demonstrating deep loyalty to her family and a strong determination to protect them.
Abilities
She possesses the automatic long-range Stand "Born This Way" (originally named "Going Underground"). Taking the form of a rider atop a black motorcycle, the Stand activates whenever a targeted individual performs the action of opening an object, such as a door or notebook. Once triggered, it instantly materializes to attack the target with freezing cold winds until an object is closed. The Stand also exhibits high resistance to physical attacks.
Background
Born to Yoshiteru Kira and Holy Joestar-Kira, Kei grew up as the younger sister of Yoshikage Kira. When her mother fell gravely ill, Kei assumed the surname "Nijimura" and took a job as a housekeeper for the Higashikata family to uncover their secrets and find a cure. She initially attacked the amnesiac Josuke Higashikata with her Stand out of suspicion, but after realizing he posed no threat, she revealed her identity and explained the equivalent exchange phenomenon caused by the Wall Eyes.
Relationships
She is deeply devoted to her mother, Holy Joestar-Kira, and maintained a close connection with her late brother, Yoshikage Kira. Working under her employer Norisuke Higashikata, she initially treated Josuke Higashikata with suspicion before sharing critical information with him and becoming a key ally. She also interacted with Yasuho Hirose, initially warning her away from the Higashikata household before later aiding her and Josuke.
Trivia
The name "Kei" in her alias uses a Japanese numerical unit representing ten quadrillion (10^16), continuing the numerical motif seen in the Nijimura family from Part 4. Her design and backstory—including her school cap, star birthmark, and mother named Holy—draw clear parallels to Jotaro Kujo from Part 3. Her Stand was originally named "Going Underground" during serialization before being changed to "Born This Way" for the collected volume release.
