Overview

Central Princess is a land-based Abyssal boss character appearing in the browser game Kantai Collection and its PlayStation Vita spin-off Kantai Collection Kai. Originally introduced as the final boss of the Deep Sea Central Area in the PlayStation Vita version, she later debuted in the browser game during the Spring 2016 Event. Serving as a central figure stationed near Hawaii, she is depicted as a massive land-based installation boasting immense firepower and durability.

Appearance

She features pale silver hair and blood-red eyes weeping tears of black blood, displaying a painful and despairing facial expression. Barefoot, her unclad body is marked with glowing red crack-like patterns. She is attached to a massive skull-shaped abyssal rigging on her left side via a tube connected directly to her heart. In her Damaged form, her expression twists into ferocious madness, and her pale skin splits open to reveal black, steel-like tissue underneath.

Personality

Embodied by the collective grudges, terror, and grief of sunken vessels, she carries a profound sense of sorrow and despair. In battle, her anguish turns into intense hostility and rage as she seeks to sink all adversaries. Upon defeated, however, her bitterness fades, accepting her end with a quiet sense of fulfillment and gratitude as she disappears into the light.

Abilities

Operating as an artillery-focused land installation, she is internally classified as a low-speed battleship that does not deploy carrier aircraft in her standard browser iteration. Equipped with modern 16-inch triple gun mounts, deep-sea reconnaissance seaplanes, and coastal radar, she possesses tremendous firepower, high anti-air capabilities, and exceptional durability and armor. In her PlayStation Vita incarnation, she could also operate abyssal fighters and torpedo bombers. Despite her defensive stats, she is highly vulnerable to anti-ground armaments and concentrated aerial bombing attacks.

Background

She presides over the abyssal stronghold patterned after the area around Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. After debut as the ultimate antagonist in the PlayStation Vita game, she arrived in the browser version as the final boss of the Spring 2016 Event across multiple maps. Later, in the Spring 2019 Event, she made a return appearance in the second Hawaii-themed operational area to challenge player fleets once again.

Relationships

Defeating her in the Spring 2016 Event allowed fleets to secure and recruit the American battleship Iowa. In high-difficulty battle encounters, she is escorted by top-tier Abyssal entities, forming formidable fleet formations alongside Armored Carrier Princess, Battleship Princess, and Abyssal Destroyer Princess.

Trivia

Following operational balance adjustments during her debut event, land-based air strikes inflicted catastrophic damage upon her, leading players to humorously refer to her node as a nuclear test site. Additionally, unlocking her armor debuff mechanism triggered a faint, unscripted whispered line of surprise during her battle introduction.
