Appearance
Fuyutsuki features long hair draped over her right side, topped with a fire control director and a white headband embroidered with gold lettering reading "41st Destroyer Division." She has sky-blue eyes. Her attire consists of a white sailor-collared shirt underneath an off-shoulder grey coat, paired with a grey corset, a black pleated skirt, black gloves, and grey-and-white harlequin-check tights with rudder footwear. She is accompanied by two Chou-10cm-hou-chan mount creatures whose eyes remain closed, one bearing a scar-like white paint mark.
Personality
Fuyutsuki commands a composed and honorable demeanor akin to a seasoned warrior, while easily handling administrative paperwork. Around the Admiral, she presents a softer, gentle feminine side. She maintains a warm dynamic with Suzutsuki, who frequently assists her with office chores and shares homemade pumpkin treats. Though Fuyutsuki holds deep respect for her commander Yahagi, she is not above playful boldness—such as picking Yahagi as the ogre for bean-throwing during Setsubun or challenging Yukikaze to a duel during seasonal cleaning.
Abilities
Fuyutsuki shares the standard anti-aircraft equipment capabilities of her class and reaches her Kai form at level 55. While her basic combat statistics align closely with her sister ships, her evasion reaches 92 post-remodel, setting a high standard among Akizuki-class destroyers. Notably, she possesses exceptional Luck, starting at 38 and capable of reaching a maximum of 98, surpassing her sister vessels.
Background
Introduced in the Winter 2022 event, Fuyutsuki is modeled after the historic destroyer that survived Operation Ten-Go and later became part of the breakwater at Wakamatsu Port alongside Suzutsuki. In-game, her fleet affiliation callouts are inverted relative to history: she identifies with the 31st Fleet upon arrival and switches to the 2nd Torpedo Squadron after undergoing her remodel.
Relationships
She shares a warm bond with Suzutsuki, who affectionately calls her "O-Fuyu-san" and frequently helps her with work and homemade meals. She maintains a friendly rapport with Yukikaze, who shares curry with her and shares design origins as an eighth-born ship. Historically, Fuyutsuki carried out the heavy duty of scuttling the damaged Kasumi after rescuing her crew during Operation Ten-Go. She also displays respectful familiarity toward Yahagi and Oyodo.
Trivia
Fuyutsuki's implementation completed the full ten-ship roster of the First Diversionary Force that participated in Operation Ten-Go within the game. Additionally, her in-game library index number, 333, matches the hull registry number of the space destroyer Fuyutsuki featured in the 1983 anime film Final Yamato.
