Southern Ocean Oni made her debut during the August 2013 event Southern Ocean Assault Reconnaissance! as an unidentified large battleship acting as a middle-stage boss. Although the Southern Ocean is considered her primary area of operation, she remained absent from major events for an extended period until re-emerging five years later in the E-2 map of the Intercept! Battle of Buin event with upgraded radar equipment. Within the Abyssal fleet hierarchy, she serves as the foundational design for other Southern Ocean Abyssal variants.
