Overview

Eula Lawrence is a playable character in the action role-playing game Genshin Impact, serving as the Spindrift Knight and the Captain of the Reconnaissance Company within Mondstadt's Knights of Favonius. Despite being a descendant of the tyrannical Lawrence Clan, she severed ties with her family and joined the knights. In battle, she wields a claymore and commands Cryo vision, functioning as a physical damage dealer.

Appearance

Eula has medium-length blue hair topped with a black hairband and hair ornaments, accompanied by yellow and purple eyes. Her outfit features a backless leotard design combined with high-waist shorts, long sleeves, black gloves, a necktie, a single-shoulder blue cape, and thigh-high boots. Facing widespread hostility due to her bloodline, Eula uses an intimidating defense mechanism by constantly declaring vengeance, yet her true nature is deeply compassionate and noble. Rather than holding genuine grudges, her references to hatred often act as a front to cover her embarrassment when expressing gratitude. She possesses refined aristocratic etiquette, graceful dancing skills, and culinary talent, though she displays a remarkably candid and earnest demeanor when intoxicated.

Abilities

Eula's combat style derives from the Lawrence Clan's Dance of Sacrifice, utilizing fluid claymore attacks. Her Elemental Skill, Icetide Vortex, deals Cryo damage while granting stacks of Grimheart to boost her defense and interruption resistance, which can be spent via a long press to shred physical and Cryo resistances. Her Elemental Burst, Glacial Illumination, summons a Lightfall Sword that charges up through her physical attacks over seven seconds before unleashing massive area-of-effect physical damage. She also has a passive talent that provides a chance to double produced talent materials during synthesis.

Background

Born as the eldest daughter of the Lawrence Clan, Eula passed family trials at a young age to earn the Seal of Fierce Ice, but she questioned her family's obsession with past dominance. After studying under Amber's grandfather, she chose her own path and applied to join the Knights of Favonius. Although her enlistment met fierce pushback from both the public and her family, Grand Master Varka supported her entry. She rapidly rose through the ranks to lead the Reconnaissance Company, spearheading dangerous frontline missions.

Relationships

Amber is her closest friend, frequently speaking out to clear Eula's name. Acting Grand Master Jean and Grand Master Varka deeply respect her skills and moral character. Yanfei became a trusted pen pal after Eula rescued her during an investigation. She maintains a supportive command relationship with her subordinate Mika and bonded with Collei during an expedition. Conversely, she stands firmly against her uncle Schubert and other family members who cling to the clan's oppressive legacy.

Trivia

Her signature dish is the Stormcrest Pie, adapted from a traditional clan recipe. She enjoys cold environments and frequently bathes in the icy lakes of Dragonspine. Her character preview and event appearances gained popularity for showcasing her unexpected traits, such as an endearing sneeze and her behavior while drunk. She notably held a record for going over 500 days without a banner rerun.
