He is a warrior belonging to the Lightkeepers, a defense organization operating in the Nod-Krai region, where he serves as the gravekeeper managing the lighthouse and cemetery at the Final Night Cemetery. Although he is actually an ancient Fae from the snowlands, he keeps his non-human origin hidden while living among humans. In combat, Flins wields a polearm paired with an Electro Vision, utilizing a blue lantern to trigger specialized Moon Electro-Charged elemental reactions.
Appearance
Flins has long, gradient blue hair with two ahoge atop his head and crossed bangs falling between his yellow eyes, accompanied by pale skin and dark eye circles. He wears a purple shirt under a long-sleeved black coat, complemented by a collared black capelet. A black belt around his waist features attached straps, chains, and a hanging blue lantern, alongside grey pants, thigh straps, and black lace-up knee-high boots. His Electro Vision hangs from the back of his coat near his belt. He wields a large polearm, and his lantern's flame shifts to a reddish-purple hue when detecting nearby enemies.
Personality
Flins is refined, soft-spoken, and displays the demeanor of an exceptionally polite gentleman. Possessing strong interpersonal skills, he speaks with measured eloquence, sharing stories skillfully without revealing unwanted personal details. Though his preference for solitary duties at the cemetery gives him an eccentric aura, he is socially adept, flexible, and attentive to those around him. He holds deep reverence and sorrow for fallen comrades who sacrificed their lives. His palate is unusual, as he rarely finds ordinary food tasty, yet he enjoys social gatherings, partaking in strong alcoholic beverages while disliking plain water.
Abilities
Flins fights using a polearm and a lantern, concentrating on Electro damage and Moon Electro-Charged reactions. His Normal Attack, Sacred Spear of Protection, involves single-handed spear strikes and a forward spear throw for Heavy Attacks. Using his Elemental Skill, Ancient Rite: Secret of the Solitary Lamp, he enters the Manifestation of Shadowflame state, converting attacks to Electro and boosting poise while unlocking the Northland Spear Formation sub-skill to deal AoE Electro damage. His Elemental Burst, Old Ceremony: Night Visitor, delivers AoE Electro strikes and follow-ups, transforming into Symphony of Thunder under specific conditions for lower energy cost. His passives convert standard Electro-Charged into Moon Electro-Charged, enhance party reaction damage, scale stats from Attack, and reveal regional specialties.
Background
Originally a Fae of the snowlands created as a retainer to the first Cryo Archon, Flins was once known as Cyril of the Blue Flame among Snezhnayan nobility. Intrigued by humanity yet eventually disillusioned, he sealed himself away in a remote area for centuries. He awakened in modern times when a dying Lightkeeper sacrificed blood and soul to break the seal during a severe monster invasion in Nod-Krai. Joining the Lightkeepers while concealing his non-human nature, Flins assumed the role of watching over the graveyard of fallen soldiers. Following his meeting with the Traveler, he assists in investigating regional crises and abyssal phenomena.
Relationships
Flins is respected by his junior colleague Iruga, who admires his tactical expertise and gentlemanly air, though Flins deliberately keeps his non-human identity hidden from him. He builds a solid bond of trust with the Traveler through various investigations, revealing aspects of his true nature to them. With Varka, the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, he speaks in an unusually casual tone; both Varka and Nefer suspect his ancient origins but respectfully keep the secret. Additionally, he acts as a knowledgeable mentor figure to Linnea, a fellow Fae.
